Default Back from Navigator...it was good, bad and ugly.

Just back today from Navigator here is quick review:
GOOD.....SERVICE, FOOD, SHIP, FELLOW PASSENGERS.

BAD...FOOD , FOOD AND FOOD

UGLY....ONE OF THE BOYS IN OUR GROUP GOT ALCHOL POISIONING AND SPENT THE NIGHT IN THE SHIPS HOSPITAL...NICE 1,400.00 BILL FOR SPENDING 9 HOURS THERE. But I must say, the hospital was amazing, it was so well equiped.

I have never been impressed with Royal Caribbean's food. I normally can't wait to get off the ship to get some good food.

Welcome home Mary Margaret...
Yup. Food has never been one of RCI's strong points. Amazes me actually, because they build such beautiful ships, and then they don't live up to the promise of their asthetics.

Alcohol poisioning? When you say boy....was he old enough to be drinking legally, or was someone feeding him alcohol?

Well, the boy was 24, and usually can hold his booze...but he drank lots of tequila, I think that is what did him in!

I agree with you Kuki, they ship is so wonderful, why can they not get the food good?

And the ship was so clean and the crew so very nice, but the food..ugh. I noticed I put food in the first part in the good section..that was wrong. I think the best part of the food was the deserts, they were not bad at all!

Almost without exception, alcohol poisoning is the result of unregulated poor quality alcohol and this type of alcohol is general found at local foreign bars of questionable operation or on excursions of questionable operators. It unlikely this product was obtained on the ship as suggested. There would have been multiple cases of alcohol poisoning onboard, if that was the case. As for the food, that's probably the fault of the chef and kitchen staff on that particular ship. A steak is a steak, but the perceived quality or lack thereof, is the direct result of the gourmet skills and knowledge of the preparer.

Mary Margaret, welcome back! Glad you had a good time, but sorry the food wasn't up to expectations.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

It's not the quality of the alcohol that gives you alcohol poisoning, it's the quanity.
