For that price you could buy a pair. Not worth the price. RCCL sells them in the ship's gift shop even.

Most folks bring their own. If the walkie-talkies that you rent on the ship only have main channels and no sub-channels they are basically worthless on a cruise. There will be so many people and so much "chatter"on the main channels, that you won't be able to get ahold of the person you want to talk to. You can purchase a pair of walkie talkies with sub-channels for about what it would cost to rent the basic ones for 7 days.
We bought ours at Wal-Mart and found they work great. We have Cobra 5 mile range with the subchannels and base chargers.
