First Timer!

My husband Tom and I are cruising for the first time aboard the Celebrity "Century" on Dec. 4, heading for the Western Caribbean - is anyone else going?

Caroline..what ports are you going to stop at..we are going Dec 5 on the Conquest..Mobay, Jamacia, Grand Cay, Cozumel..??

Yes, I'll be on that ship. I agreed to Captain for a week so the regular Captain could take a week's vacation. I have a surprise in store for everyone but don't tell them we're not going to the Western. There's a little fish camp place in Mobile, Al. I really like and we're going to spend the week there. It'll be so much fun!!!!

Congratulations on your first cruise booking, Caroline. Celebrity is still my all time favorite cruiseline.

As you can see we have a lot a comedians around here. I sure hope you have a good sense of humor. :-)

*Looking arond as I post this msg.* Whare are da comedians?..You talking about that jason and thomas? They are part time clowns with Barnum and Bailey Circus...but they wiill get better with time..they are still in training.

Well, I'll say it's a real shame that you all won't be on that ship - with all the jokers around here, what a party that would be!
Thomas, I'll agree to the change of cruise plan and go to Mobile instead of jamaica, Gr Cayman, Cosumel and Key west, but only if you promise to dock briefly at FloriBama so we can do oyster shooters!
Big John, our schedlue is: Ocho Rios Monday, Gr Cay Tues, Cosumel Weds, Key West Fri. Do you match up with any of that?
We'll toast you with the champagne in our room when we board, Brenda!
Everyone here has been so helpful and friendly; I am really getting excited about this!

Caroline, I think I saw the FloraBama was washed or blown away in the hurricane. At least it was if I'm thinking of the same place.

The FlorBama survived but barely. The roof and walls are still standing but it was full of water and sand. The owners promise to rebuild. The FlorBama suffered the same fate as most other structures in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach... It looks like an A-Bomb blast there and over to Pensacola. Most of the newer high rise condos suffered extensive first floor damage ( Lobby) and elevator damage and their swimming pools disappeared under sand. If it was a frame structure it now rests with the ages...

If I know the FloraBama, they'll have at LEAST one outside bar working when Thomas docks us there. Kinda curious about the tender boat that he has set up, tho..... But I know that Alabama's finest gator hunters will come thru - lived in B'Ham for a little over a year before coming to Hotlanta; despite it's sordid rep, AL is a very pretty state with friendly folk.

Sorry to disappoint but FloraBama is not on the schedule. Their check didn't clear.

But don't be disappointed, oysters can be scooped on the beach and the Kitchen Mgr. says he's got plenty of cocktail sauce and green Tobasco.

We'll do shooters until the ship runs out of Pepto and toilet paper.
