Unfortunately they were found dead in the trunk of a car parked near the driveway of one of the boys. The father of the 6 year old boy found them. He was so devasted that he collapsed to his knees screaming. My heart breaks for the three families who had so hoped the boys would be found alive.
"someone put the boys in the trunk". Kuki, I dought that, really is that what they are saying? Boys that age love to go find places to hide. This kind of story happens all the time. Thats why we need those trunk releases installed on all new cars.
Im wondering also if they got in there by themselves to hide out... either way... same devastating horrible result... those poor parents... I cant imagine !!
Has anyone heard whos car it is ?? I guess there is always a possibility is was accidental, and possiblity it was criminal.... I wonder how they will sort it all out...
I concur..They did say that the boys had played in and around that car. They say that the thing that makes the lid stay open was inoperative and it fell shut on them. And in the same breath they said that it was not air tight, so air could have gotten in there..It's a mystery to me right now.

Re: 3 missing NJ boys found......
Kuki - kids always seem to find trunks, abandoned refrigerators without the doors taken off, etc., to crawl into and then they die because no one finds them in time. This happens more than one cares to think.....................
This is so sad. I understand from a news report that the police may not have even checked the trunk of the car. I hope this is wrong (I find it hard to believe they wouldn't) and that the boys climbed in after they checked. Maybe all the searching scared them and they tried to hide.
I have a freezer in my garage and I keep it locked, even though there is almost no chance of a child getting in the garage, much less the freezer.

I remember as a child, a neighborhood kid got in a fridge that someone put our for trash pick-up... you guessed it, they didnt come out alive... I think we have a law now that fridges being tossed must have the door taken off hinges... not sure where I heard that, but I think so.

Re: Re: 3 missing NJ boys found......
Only just this pst weekend here in the U.K. a little girl has died. Apparently she got up about 5.30a.m. and wondered around her home and let herself into the tumble dryer. It had a secure locking device, virtually allowing no air and she was found by her parents at 7.30 that morning.
Tragic, but as other posters have said, kids do these things.
