Default I think I fell for another "infomercial" product!

I bought the "Magic Bullet" I saw on a Infomercial and received it yesterday.
I am takeing it to a party tonight, to make drinks, salsa, etc....
I have a feeling it will not be like they way the people on the show make their stuff!

Every get something from a advertisement and find it works horrible??

I bought foam corners, that you put on the corners of your mattress to keep the sheets from shifting. I think they were like $12.00. The concept worked, BUT, they were these chintzy, ulra light weight foam, with a seam stitched in. As I said, they did work, but i rerurned them, and will stitch up my own!

Mrs Kuki!!!

They claimed she was a Russian model who loved to do housework, and keep her man happy.

Turned out she was a model of inconsistency, rushin to be happy by making her man do the housework.

I couldn't even return her. I knew I should have made the purchase with a credit card!

I too have fallen for the infomercials from time to time. Don't they make it look so easy? One night I saw an ad for a contraption that slices tomatoes and potatoes perfectly every time. You could turn the grid to form french fries. Looked so easy!!! I bit! The thing came and I went rushing to the refrigerator for a tomato. I inserted the tomato on the slicer and brought the top part down. Instead of nice sharp slices falling through the grid I got a squished tomato and tomato seeds and juice everywhere. Live and learn!

My husband also bought the Magic Bullet and it's great! Nice to be able to make smoothies and not have to transfer them to a glass.....at least this one didn't turn out to be a disappointment!

How can you possibly pass up a chance to get something that "normally sells for $120" for only $19.95, whether you need it or not? Not many people can, apparently. Then you see the same thing in a store for the same price, with no shipping & handling $$ tacked on. Oh well, human nature loses again!

How about the things that the shopping network sells. I saw a key lime pie for $20 plus $10 shipping. How much does one can of sweetened condensed milk, two or three limes, two eggs and a prepared graham cracker crust cost?

I wonder how many people go way into debt buying everything from the shopping network with their credit cards?

A friend of mine is addicted to qvc and hsn. She has a room filled with junk and new clothes she never wears. When her credit card reached 25K she told her husband and he paid it off for her. What a guy! She is now a widow and her husband was smart enough to set up a sizeable trust for her, so now she gets one check a month to live on, so this has curtained her spending somewhat!

I never purchased it but I inherited my mothers rotisserie oven that Ron Popiel sold and is now in stores and I will admit that it is a very good device and we use it quite often. It works much better than the rotisserie on our expensive Kitchenaire stove and is easier to clean.

Some of the things on infomercials may be decent stuff but it's also crap so I try to stay away form it. I have a hard time purchasing something unless I know what it is or have had my hands on it.

Take care,
Mike

I bought the five star knives from Ron Popeil and I have been thrilled with them. So nice to have knives that acutally do what they are suppoed to do!
