The lovely Mrs. Jones and I are thinking of a cruise to Hawaii next year, most likely seven day, and are wondering which cruise line, and which ship you recommend? Should we sail from the West Coast, or fly to the islands and cruise from there? We may make it another "family reunion" cruise too, so it should be lots of fun. Give me your opinion!
Hi Ken & Vita
I am looking for a cruise to Hawaii too.
Can I send you a pm on what I have found? 19 days total
A good price from Vancover, Hawaii, back to Enscenda, Mx. then a flight back to Florida.
email me a pm with your address.
I don't want to post it here
Seven days is really too short. We were married on Khuai in 1988. The flight is nothing short of grueling. In 1995 we went back on Legend of the Seas from Vancouver; four days at sea then all the islands. We flew back to Boston. That was a ten day jam packed cruise and cost a lot more then, but it was everything we dreamed it would be. I know ships sail from L.A. now and that would make more sense. It is not easy not seeing land for four days, but when you wake up on the fifth day you have surely come to Paradise.
Thanks for all the info, and especially from Trekker. Looks like I'm just going to have to come up with more time off to do this thing right! The LA to Hawaii to LA thing sounds great to me, and especially if it's Princess. (one of our personal favorites).
We'll keep all of you advised on our progress on this trip.
See you aboard,
If you go for more than the 7 day, and can act quick... we've got 100 cruisemates sailing Jan 6 from LA to Hawai and back on the Island Princess!! Just click the link in my signature. Excellent prices!! PLUS you get the fun of a CruiseMates group cruise.
Kuki,,,,I had forgotten about the Get Lei'd Cruise. What a deal, and what a great cruise that will be. I've got one problem with joining in though. I'm still working. What a bummer. I'd really like to join the group, and would in a heartbeat, but just can't get loose from the office then, and for that long. I'll probably retire before too long, and then be able to cruise more than our usual 3 or 4 a year....
See you aboard,
