Sadly, I read today that Delta is stopping it's low cost carrier Song, in May. I just flew them last week, and I will be sad to see them go. They said it had a hard time making money without 1st classs or business seats. The planes will be painted over, and first class seats will be added. These planes will be used on longer, transcontinental flights. I enjoyed the tv's in the seats and the flight attendants were fun to be around..so another one bites the dust

I will also be sorry to see them go, although I do like Jet Blue better. As long as Song is still flying in mid January when I go to Florida for my annual trip with my parents to take my kids back to school.
I like Song as well; the news said they will fly until late May. We looked at Jet Blue late May or June to go to Vegas, but they don't go out that far on reservations. We'll see, but we really need another discount airline. Wouldn't do Southwest because of taking us where we don't want to go and waiting for another flight there. As my dad would say you're going to timbucktu whether you like it or not.
The planes are not going away; they are just being folded into Delta mainline. Although I love Song, I much prefer it with the first class seats. Since Delta will have over 50 more planes with the inflight entertainment, you will still have a chance to fly them; although they will fly predominantly on flights over 1750 miles.
