Good Morning from the Arizona desert. We're off to Flagstaff in a little while to visit the folks. I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow, so we're staying overnight.
My parents live in an assisted living center called The Peaks in Flagstaff. They have a beautiful view out their front window of the San Francisco Peaks, across a field of sunflowers.
The Peaks is on the campus of the Museum of Northern Arizona, and the museum provides them with many wonderful exhibits and learning opportunities. My father recently spent two weeks in the hospital having agressive treatment for a diabetic wound on his heel, and he was transferred a week ago to the skilled nursing unit at the Peaks, where he continues to undergo therapy, but at least now he is in the same facility as my mom and she can spend time with him each day.
Anyway, my mom called me yesterday to let me know that if I have documentation that Oscar the Shih Tzu's vaccinations are up to date (I do!), then he will be allowed to go visit Gramps in the skilled nursing wing of "the old folks home" where they live. I'm very excited, because my dad and Oscar have a very heavy-duty mutual admiration society going on between them, and I know it'll perk him up to see the dog.
If my dad's computer is up and running I'll check in from up there. If not, I'll "see" you all when I get home tomorrow evening![img][/img]
