Ok CruiseAholic.....you have me in the mood.......
........for Christmas decorating!!! After a whirlwind trip to Orlando this weekend and a FEW purchases, I am ready to get a jump on getting ready for the holidays. We are having 2 sets of company starting the day after Thanksgiving......a quick change of the sheets and the next bedfull arrive, so I MUST decorate THIS week to be ready. I KNOW you would love to have the Santa from LAST week.
Hey......forgot to ask you this morning.......Did you see the Santa riding the polar bear at Bombay???? If you don't already have it.....you MUST get it for your collection!!!!
Thank heavens Thanksgiving dinner is not at our house this year......and I only have 3 dishes to contribute to the family babacle at my daughter's. It is so much easier when we all just split the meal up and bring something. After all of those years of doing it all, I finally got SMART!
Hey John - don't forget that Cory gets a 50% employee discount at Bombay!!
I've got to get cracking on the decorating this week too. We always have the house all decorated for Christmas when the clan gathers for Thanksgiving, since we don't do Christmas HERE and we all love to share decorating tips. My SIL is doing an amazing "Country Christmas" theme this year at her home - she emailed me the partially completed photos on Sunday. It looks finished to me, but I know she'll add lots of touches in the weeks to come.
With Cory's school performance schedule (Vespers and choir), my trip to Atlanta with my sister, the Thanksgiving weekend, etc., if I wait until after Turkey-Day it just doesn't get DONE!
Hope its going smoothly for you John, since I know you have TONS of stuff taking multiple weekends to put in place... but the finished product is worth the work!! Now you just need to hire yourself some elves to take it all DOWN (yuck)!
Pat, I'm headed to Old Time Pottery this week for sure!
