I'm ticked! When I went out to get the paper just now I noticed our inflatable snow globe that I whined about but grew to love was sagging....I got closer and saw the "snow" on the ground and the jagged Budweiser bottle next to it. The neighbors inflatables are all fine so I can only guess it was a "friend" of one of my kids or something. How horrible. I know there's a lot worse stuff going on in the world and I shouldn't be so upset but jeez.....it wasn't hurting anyone. I hope the person who did this is happy now...

Oh Angela..why do people have to do this! We have a set of unknown persons who go around and break out every window of a car that is on the side of the road, broken. They trash the inside and steal what ever they can.
In our area there is a group going around stealing the tips/gifts left for mailmen and garbage men from mailboxes and garbage cans. There have been incedents involving trashing holiday displays as well. So sad.
Get out the duct tape and patch up the display and get it inflated again. Don't let them win.
Merry Christmas
Thanks everyone. I called my husband at work and told him about it and then I left to go to the grocery store for the little things I forgot the day I spent $277 and by the time I got home my son had come home from his sleepover at his friends house and the globe is patched and back up....now to deal with the clingy "snow" on the lawn. I swept up as much as I could and I'm thinking the rest will be vacuumed. Will be interested to see if whoever comes back tonight to pull the snowman family off of life support.
PapaBill....stealing tips.....that's pretty low too. How do these people live with themselves?

Angela, I've seen two of those inflatables laying flat on their backs this year and thought to myself, "what an invitation to vandals with a knife."
I was thinking of buying one myself but decided against it after seeing those.
A few years ago some vandals took a string of lights (the large outdoor type) from a bush of mine and unscrewed each of the bulbs and broke them against people houses.
Regards,
Thomas

Angela, so sorry to hear. It's sad to think we live in a world where people show such little respect for others property. Hang in there and don't let it get you down.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I was not in favor of those things but my granchildren begged us to put one up so we did. I have to admit I now like it.
I saw on our local news last night about a home that won a local award for Christmas decorations had been vandalized. The snow globes had been ripped open and they knocked the heads off all of the Santa, Reindeer and other dolls set up on the lawn.
It is hard to read and see these things and you have to wonder what is in the heart of some people.
I hope this does not spoil your Christmas season. God Bless !
We had some vandals in our area last year. They did not break anything, but they did redecorate all the reindeer on the street. It looked like mating season.
So sorry to hear this, one reason we don't do a lot of decorating anymore. It just takes the whole wonderful feeling of the holidays away to see such things going on. Texasfrye, we had the same thing here last year, I have to admit it did look funny, but this year I noticed the HOA have everything tied down so no "mating" this year!
I am sorry to hear of this. We had a family in the area that had a special wreath stolen. A local wreath maker made all the families in the area that had a loved one serving in Iraq a special heart shaped wreath. One family had theirs stolen right off their porch. They were heart broken. When people heard of this they brought them their wreaths (they ended up with 5 or 6), but no special heart one to remind them of their son in Iraq. It was really sad.
Angela that makes me sad and angry too. I'm so glad that your son patched it up, and got it working again. Sounds like you have one of those great kids.
Angela , Sorry to hear about the vandals that wrecked your snowglobe. I am glad your son got it fixed!
Fllday-I assume HOA is Householder of Area...???
Mating reindeers=kind of funny!lol(Embarassing to have to go out and rearrange them though!!lol)
I am a bit worried that one day some of our decorations will be stolen; one year we had some bulbs removed/broken.

VALOR Jan/05-our first family cruise was great!
I'm glad the snow globe was repaired. Last week in our town, vandals slashed tires and broke windows in parked cars in one neighborhood. Police will probably never find out who did it. It's a sad commentary on today's society.
Thanks again everyone. Yes, my son is the best. He makes me laugh everyday and that is one of the greatest gifts ever! (Don't get me wrong, we also have our teeth gnashing moments with each other here and there)
