Sounds great Beenie. Reminds me of what it was like when we went to Kansas last fall to help my MIL get settled in the assissted living place. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly and helpful. Makes you really appreciate small town America.

I definately understand #5, especially #9, and #10 and #11, and I am not from Indiana!
My hubby has just discovered Jeff Foxworthy and has been torturing us (oops, I mean, entertaining us...) with a CD he bought!

This clears up a lot. We always hear, "Thats not the way we do it up north", down here in Florida.

Having been born and growing up in Indiana, it really brought back a lot of great memories. I loved it.

BW

I grew up in Lake County, mostly between Gary and Griffith. I have only been back to visit family since I joined the Army in 1974. We now live in Lower Alabama

John,
We're about 100 miles directly south down 41. Gary was a very nice community back when you lived there.
How are things shaping up down in your neck of the woods? Is life starting to resemble normal in anyway since the hurricanes?

Are you down near Attica? My youngest brother lives in Veedersberg and my oldest brother lives in Logansport. I have only been through Gary over the last 20 years, never stopping.

We did not get hit too bad from the Hurricanes. I did find out when we were in Mobile that they had given our cruise ship to FEMA, so we had to change to the Insperation out of Tampa.
