Here is a Luanne type topic. What artists have you loaded on your Ipod! i received mine in the mail after winning it in a poker tourny just a couple of weeks before my cruise and frantically loaded it. I may be showing my age with some of these names but the best part is they have been around long enough to collect their greatest hits albums.
Aerosmith, zz top, tom petty, bob marley, ub40, maxi priest, the eagles, jimi hendrix, meatloaf, CCR, crosby stills nash and young, neil young, tons of jimmy buffett, def leppard, bob seger, twisted sister, rob zombie, guns and roses, greenday, nickelback, creed, staind, Rush and a few I can't remember!
Anyone else?

What,,,you thought the Ipod would explode if it didn't have "head banging" music on it? I simply import the tunes to the Ipod from cd on my computer. Results,,,,great music without having XM channel 73 (Franks Place) with me. 8)
Well, I'm probably dating myself too - but here goes:
AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, CCR, Cream, Eric Clapton, Guns n' Roses, Motley Crue, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, The Doors, BTO, Dio, Heart, Billy Squire, Billy Idol, Robert Palmer, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Scorpions, Eagles, Foreigner, Journey, Ozzy.... just to name a few.

I just didn't picture someone who listens to that kind of music using an ipod. no offense I just never pictured an ipod with music like that on it since it is typically the younger crowd that used them. But, that is why I posed the question!

I think if a stranger ever found my iPod they would think a few different people were loading music onto it.....all my Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, David Bromberg, Flora Purim, Graham Parker, Elvis Costello, lots of the Rat Pack, all kinds of Broadway shows, marching bands and military cadences (great for walking) some stuff my kids are surprised I listen to like Linkin Park, Candlebox, and lets just throw in the country stuff to really confuse the playlists....
Angela Z.
Yes I was joking.... I know what it is, I just wouldn't have a clue how to use one! I have just "upgraded" from a cassette walkman to a CD walkman. One step at a time for the technologically challenged!

Gambits and the rest of you are TOO funny. Lugging around a PC, with speakers instead of an iPod -- reminds me of the (sorry for the stereotypical reference) ghetto blasters you used to see the guys on Venice beach walking around with - the bigger the better. One guy pulled his along on a skateboard.
I don't have an iPod, I kind of wonder why people are so devoted to them. I started using an MP3 playing wristwatch many years ago. It plugs right into any computer with USB.
Plus, One thing is I really prefer real speakers, so I DO use my PC to play music, and rip CDs from it to play in my car. Eric Clapton & more EC, Dire Straits, two 60's band called The Move and Blodwyn Pig.
I want to learn how to download TV shows & stuff, though, to watch on that little screen. That is cool. Is anyone doing that & how hard is it?

I have had the cassette and cd players too. wife bought me an Ipod for $300 when they first came out for xmas. I said" come on why do I need 5000 songs" I returned 2 yrs later my son gets the cheapy Ipod and I started using it by the pool. I fell in love. awesome sound, easy to use and fits right in your pocket. What I didn't like was you couldn't see what song u were playing. forward 1 year. I noticed an online single table poker tourny for a $30 buy in 10 guys. prize was a Ipod nano holds 1000 songs. asked my son if you can see the music you wanted to play he said yes and that it was a real good one so I entered and won the tourny. 2 wks later received it and I love it. just like a balcony room you cannot go back.
