Just been checking out the excursions for Grand Cayman. What can you suggest or recommend?
I'm leaning towards anything that includes beach, water and a lunch included! My son even said if there's a hammock on the beach, then he's in too!

Donna - I am not getting off the ship in Grand Cayman - we are going to be one of seven ships there that day and I have no desire to fight my way about along with alomost 10,000 fellow cruisers. I will enjoy the ship that day!

Think I might try the new Margaritaville (hope it's 100% better than the one in Key West) with a buddy ... and maybe shop. Kinda promised to get a friend some Caribbean pink topaz like I have ... but not on the top of my list cuz I'll be back there next April again.

But, Donna, I should add that I have read several reviews lately on another cruise site that mention Sea Grape Beach on Grand Cayman. You might want to google it or do some other search on it.

In G.C the new Margaritaville is right downtown. Since the hurricanes did a lot damage, they rebuilt the area.
We have rented a jeep and will tour the island, with stops at Pedros Castle, Spanish Bay Reef, and 7 mile beach.
by the way, 7 mile beach is only 5.3 miles now.
Been there many times, and the north shore is my favorite for good diving, and great local food. Dont' forget if you drive, it is a British colony, they drive on the left side of the road.

update: just informed from my family they are booked for the jeep adventure in G.C. geting close now !
