Western Caribbean in August, weather???

Im booking a cruise in August. Ports are Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Belize. Am I going to burst into flames from the weather? I plan to try to see Mayan sites in at least 2 of the locations, water activities in the other two.

It is gloriously HOT.... just when you go to the mayan ruins take a large brim hat for some shade and grab two bottles of water when you are getting of the cruise ship; if you go to Tulum there is a beach there, so wear your swimsuit (there is no place to change**see below). I live in Fla so the weather wasn't too much hotter, but there is hardly no shade at the ruins, I have done the water parks in Cozumel area; Xel-ha or something like that and the water was ice cold so that was very nice..

at Tulum there was no place to change and I wanted to go in the water, so I tried changing by this large rock and some foilage, I was about 1/2 in or 1/2 out of my swimsuit when the world LARGEST IGUANA ran up to me... I freaked, I couldn't run cuz I was half n a k i d but I got dressed pretty darn quick.

It's not that temperatures go up that drastically in the summer months... it's the increase in humidity that you'll have to deal with.

And of course, if there happens to be a hurricane pop up, you'll have to accept a change of itinerary.

So true; the humidity is stifling but if a hurricane brings some breezes then its not sooo bad LOL . That is part of the moostery in cruising in August/Sept, there is always a chance that the itenieary will change
