Good morning from this site of the state. It has been a long week and very tiresome. Tomorrow our grandkids will get picked up by their father and brought to another state. Its the best for them. I can only hope he keeps his promiss of us able to see them whenever.
I am at a loss what oldest will do with oldest daughter but we think medical help is in order. I am so very sad. At least the little kids are off the street. This has been difficult for everyone involved but if one would act like a mom it would not have been happening. We had offered to pay for one month for a place but the offer was declined. She does not want the kids.
I wish everyone a very nice weekend. Some of you work so much! Get a break and rest. My dh made breakfast and it's almost ready. Do I smell something burned? Just kidding.
Take care mates.

Morning All, from Montreal, where the temperature is steadily climbing. We're almost at 0 now, so hopes of + numbers are finally there!
Trip, I can't believe you have an 18 yr old granddaughter! I thought you were my age, and I have an 18 yr old son!
Sue, I hope the childrens' father will make them a good life. My granddaughter was also abandonned by her mother, but her father (my step-son) has been doing a wonderful job of raising her these past 4 years.
Saturday plans here? Absolutely nothing, just the way I like it!
Have a good one Mates!
Morning, Mates! More nice weather for us. This afternoon DH and I have a DATE! We are going to Kemah Boardwalk for dinner, watching all the boats on the water, and a little music. The weather should be great and I can't wait!
Trip, isn't it fun to watch and remember when you would have been in the big middle of all those kids? That is what I tend to do these days, anyway. It is hard to see them grow up so fast, but it is so exciting to see them mature into young adults.
Sue, I know how difficult this is on you. I have seem numerous fathers step up to the plate and do the right thing when the mother simply isn't able to, for whatever reason. I'm praying for all concerned.
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning from Southern California. We're socked in! Haven't seen fog in a really long time, but ol' Mr. Sol is now doing his job of burning it off. This is supposed to be a weekend of temps in the 90's for some areas.
Like Donna, I have absolutely nothing planned. I think Keith and I are in the market for something nice to do.
Good Morning cruisemates! This weekend Calgary gets its first real taste of spring (even though there's still snow on the ground). With temps heading to the mid 60s F the snow should melt fairly quickly.
It's going to be short lived, with temps back to the 30s by mid week, but at least a taste, telling us winter is slowly going to be over.
Today and tomorrow will be spent putting more paperwork in order to pass on to the accountants on Monday. Three months since we sold the business, and still stuff to do to wind it down; kind of amazing it takes so long.
It's is sunny and pretty nice here in Avon Park, FL, where the temp is currently 73 degrees.
My big plan for the day is to get my hair permed at the Mall. IT IS TIME!
Our big news is that Trevor booked a cruise for us on the new Emerald Princess for October 27-November 6. It will be our first 10 day cruise-to the Southern Caribbean; Princess Cay, St. Thomas (my favorite),Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire (?) and Aruba-so we have 4 islands we haven't seen before. Our tour guide in St. Maarten last year is from Dominica. This will be the first Caribbean sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale after the ship debuts in Europe. Only about 230 days to go. It's roll call has been going since July 2006! It will be during Halloween week-so, I'm wondering what the crew will "scare" up for us!! I'll get a countdown clock rolling as soon as I can figure out how to do it-or some sweet soul helps me out. (Departs 10/27/07 at 5PM).
Custody issues aren't pretty, I agree. My step-son is trying to get custody of his two teen-agers who are now living with him in a cramped apt. He had a court date with the mother a week or two ago and she didn't show, so a new date was set. He said that if it had been him, he would have landed in jail. The third child has recently turned 18, but has been living with my step-son's mother for the last 2 years--has really thrived. They've even appeared on the Judge Judy show-to be aired in the next month or so.
My son will be attending a Screenwriting Workshop out in Hollywood,CA in April. Since he wants to get into that business as well as become a director, he's really looking forward to meeting some of the people he's been following for the last few years. I'm happy he's able to go.
I trust that everyone has a wonderful Saturday. Keep smiling!
Little League season has started.........8:00AM game, 9:45AM game, 2:00PM B'day party, 4:45PM game..........I'm exhausted all ready. I love the watching the grandkids play ball. The 5 year old just "plays" in the outfield, dances, sings, etc. The boys are older so they actually play ball. Lots of practice needed though
