Default Alamo Car Rental Orlando

I always use my Gold Service from Hertz. I love it. They drop you off at the car, no counters, and no hassles.

Hertz is about $275 for a midsize for 8 days. Alamo is $199 for the same thing.

Anyone have any experience with Alamo in Orlando?

Thanks,

Brian

Why pay for a car when you're at sea? We booked with Budget for less than $40. Their return location is the closest to the port with free port shuttle service. Then book one for your return. If you don't want to wait for their shuttle to pick you up, grab a cab for $5. This would save you at least $100 plus parking. Even when people park at hotels, the hotels charge you a higher rate for your room and say parking is "free" for the week. We paid $25 to $30 less than our friends for our room because we had no car. Just our experience.

I did the same in '99. I used Alamo and had good luck. The first car I had with them suffered a dead battery but they replaced the car the next day and I had no more problems.

There are 4 of us. An airport shuttle would cost at least $35 each person each way. That would be about $280.

I am also going to be in Orlando the day before and 3 days after.

It seems cheaper to get a car for the week then it does for a day, turn it in for 4, and rent it again for 3 more. I also do not want to fool around with shuttles and lines when I get off the ship so that I have more time that day in Orlando.

We've always had good luck with them. we use National ( part of Alamo) due to DH's job. They have always been good to us too. Also.... unlimited mileage which can be a plus depending on where you are planning on driving to.
