Default Tipping shuttle drivers?

A hotel we are staying at offers free shuttle service to and from the airport. Should we tip the driver? Is that expected? Also, how much is suggested? The hotel is only 2 miles (at most) from the airport, so its not like its a huge long drive.

We usually give the (free) driver $5.00 for the two of us.

I think $2 per bag is about average. Depends on how many bags they have to handle. There is a sign at our airport saying $2 a bag to check and I go with that.

Sometimes I tip extra in ports where everyone is poor, I cant help it. But, Id do at least $2 a bag myself, sometimes more.

We'll just have a very small suit case with us with enough clothes for two people for two days. Maybe even just a backback. No real handling required by him.

My wife and I won a two night hotel stay and a flight to NJ from a local radio station. They fly us to Newark and there is supposed to be a shuttle to take us to the hotel 2 miles down the road. Wasn't sure if we're supposed to tip the driver or not.

Thanks for your feedback!
