Default Blue Man Group on Norwegian Epic

NCL has just announced that Blue Man Group will be their feature entertainment show onboard the new Norwegian Epic.

Just for the record, I have been saying this would be the perfect cruise ship show for 15 years now since i first saw it in NYC in 1993.

Here is a link to a message board post I made in 2003 where I say...

http://www.cruisemates.com/forum/vie...blue+man+group

Blue Man Group is excellent. I have seen them 3 times at their original black box theater in Astor Place, NY City (holds about 200 in dilapidated seats). But the show rocks enough that Las Vegas sells it out at $100 ticket. The show WOULD fit and work on a cruise ship, kids LOVE it, but it has very sophisticated adult humor as well. I have mentioned this to the cruise lines.

When I say I have mentioned it to cruise lines I am referring to saying this to Holland America on a few different occasions.

Also... last year when NCL sent some of us press to Las Vegas to announce some of the new entertainment features they would have on Epic I THEN guessed that they would be announcing Blue Man Group. I was right and a good year ahead of my time. My record for predicting cruise events is getting to be pretty good.

So, I also predict this will usher in a new era in cruise ship entertainment. Blue Man Group will be very successful as a show on Epic and it will become one of the first ships that people actually book primarily for the entertainment onboard.

I got an email from NCL this morning annoucing this, and I thought - wow what a great idea! Paul - how savvy you are - too bad it took them this long to make it happen.
I enjoyed their show in Vegas. There shows are fun with some great energy.

Epic is one of the few new ships that I've actually looked forward to its launch.

It has many new innovations and entertainment options that I am anxious to experience.

The only negative is that it looks like they stuck a pop-up camper on the front of the ship.

Take care,
Mike

Good idea -- I've seen it several times in Chicago at the Briar, its windy city home, but I'd watch it again. I enjoyed the time they brought on 2nd City on our med cruise a couple of years ago, except it conflicted with the main stage show -- hate when that happens.

That's a negative? Hey, at least I won't be the ugliest sight on the ship

Love the thought of a cruise on this ship!

I loved BMG when I went to Vegas a few years back. I would love to see where they are going to put all that paper streamers. I just may have to think about this for next year.

Never heard of the "Blue Man" but I do remember when the "Pink Lady" was popular. Does that count?

The Blue dudes are everywhere! Vegas, currently in Universal Studios and next a cruise ship. Would like to catch one of their shows some day!
