Default Poster On Your Bedroom Wall !!!

with the recent deaths of two pop culture poster icons..cause me to think growing up what was your favorite poster on your bedroom wall ?

- mine was Pam Grier from the movie "Foxy Brown" and Kathleen Turner from the movie "Body Heat"

Having grown up in the '50's and early '60's, I'm not sure there were any posters like they are now.....some kids sent away for reproductions of bull fighting posters(a Hemingway stage, no doubt)...

...at any rate, all I had on my wall was a National Geographic map of the universe....

...then when I went away to college, lo and behold, some of Mr. Hefner's more attractive employees found thier way to the walls of my dorm room.....

Sid I am blushing!

I had generic posters on my walls - and a poster of Bobby Orr! For awhile I would tear out pictures from Tiger Beat and such - people such as Michael Jackson, David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett..Bobby Sherman...by high school - it was still just Bobby Orr.

Being in the military during that time of my life, we weren't allowed any posters, but I certainly enjoyed "reading the articles" in Hef's magazine, and as I posted elsewhere, I loved the Charlies Angles posters, and particularly the beautiful photo of Farrah.

Back then I didn't really have any "posters" just pix I had cut out of magazines of The Rolling Stones, Beatles, and Frankie Avalon

My daughter had that famous poster of Farrah hanging on her wall,,,she thought she was a Charlie's Angel also,,,

Now I have a poster of Antigua Sailing week April 27th-May 3 2003 on my wall here in the office. Everytime I look at it I have to smile,,, Sure wish I was there right now,,,
Still dreaming,,,just about different things. At least these dreams are possible,,,sometimes,,,

Oh,,,and I think you boys need to go to your room,,,Playboy for the jokes,,,ya right,,,

Like VTJen, I was more of the Jackson 5, Osmond Brothers, David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, and most especially, the Monkees era. How embarassing!
But I still love the Monkees' music!

I also had a very old, large poster of the early Bee Gees, that only recently I had to part with because it simply just fell apart! It was so old, Barry didn't even have a beard!

RD...who would have figured that you would have a Bee Gee's poster and that it finally fell apart due to your constant gazing at it every day of your existance

in the French Quarter we have a music store that only carries vinyl albums from the 30's thru the early 70's..the owner is a friend of mine, so the next time i go i'll ask him if he has any old Bee Gee posters or know where he can get one for you

and yes..most young boys of our generation, learn to enjoy reading by finding our father's hiding places and sounding out the words in our favorite magazine

Default Poster on Your Bedroom Wall!

I didn't have any posters on my bedroom wall. But I was a big movie fan, and I used to cut out color photographs of the stars from fan mags and pin those to the wall. They werefrom the 50's.

Okay, I am really going to age myself here...Posters of each of the Beatles....does anyone remember the 'Beatles trading cards?' My sister and I collected them and then made poster/collages out of them and plastered them over every square inch of our bedrooms, I think!!

Venice, No we didn't see any of their concerts. I remember my sister and I just begging our parents to take us to New York so we could see them on the Ed Sullivan show, etc. I haven't seen TAMI, either. Will need to look that up. I did stand in line for hours for tickets at the local movie theater when "A Hard Days Nite" was released so we could be one of the first one's in the theater with all the other screaming girls! What memories!

All the screaming was for all the wonderful music they had and the good looks of Sir Paul McCartney. Now in his 60's he is still a very handsome man. 8)
