Okay readers, I need some suggestions on books to read. I have a gift card to Barnes & Noble I need to use. I would like a good, easy to read, funny cruise related book. Trip I know you have to have some suggestions. Paperbacks would be nice, they are cheaper and I can get more for my money. Any ideas?
Vicki

Yes, if you have not read it yet, I recommend Cruise Confidential by David Bruns. It's a paperback, and very informative "behind the scenes" look at what life is really like living and working on a cruise ship.
Also check out Jimmy Buffett as a writer, he's got several books tht are interesting, in particular, one named after his song "A Pirate Looks at 40".
If you need an serial killer book..this one was a page turner...Level 26, by Anthony Zuiker,he writes for CSI...
I am reading both that Cruise Confidential, & Sue Grafton's new one, U is for Undertow..Have you read J.D.Robbs crime series...sooo good....
On my stack waiting to be read..Twenties Girl,Sophie Kinsella, Alex Cross's Trial,..Oh try Boca Knights, Rita Lakin series, one is, Getting Old is a Disaster, Elaine Viets has a couple of newer ones too..that will give you a few to ponder Happy reading!

My library has been putting out all their Christmas books on one shelf and I have read them all. My faves, although very light romantic reads, have been the yearly novels by Debbie MacComber each one with a Christmas theme.
I think I'm on the 5th one now....
Thanks Linda. I'll check it out. I ordered three books from Barnes & Noble with my gift card the other day and they should be in Monday. That will give me some new stuff to read.

Here's a couple of suggestions - not light, not funny, not cruise related - but really, really good books.
Ken Follett's books "The Pillars of the Earth", and it's sequel "World Without End". They're each over 1,000 pages, but I read the second one in three days.
