Morning Mates,
I am happy to report that both Sayid and Claire are alive, but WHO are they really?
Only if you're a LOST fan, will you understand that statement!
It's a dull day here in Pictou County, no more snow in the forecast till at least tomorrow. Looks pretty and fresh though, from yesterday's.
Temp is around -9C or 15F, so not bad.
I have a half/day of work today, so this afternoon is looking good for using the snowshoes again, or maybe even a nap!
Another cold and snowy day here. The temps have dropped to around 13 with wind chill hitting about 0! Enough is enough but more is in the forecast. Wind is blowing so I can't tell what is falling from the sky or if it is just blowing around. We are lucky we still have power and heat, there are many who don't. Schools are all closed again today which means they will have to start making up days.
I have no grandkids today as the other grandmother is on duty. With this weather I won't be heading out so I plan on doing a good bit of office work and getting some files cleaned out.
Our local weatherman gave some advice to everyone...go on a cruise! I agree with him but since I just got back a week or so ago it is not in my plans right now. I am looking though! You never know when you'll find a great buy and can get out of this cold.
RD if you want I will send you some of our white stuff. Have a nice day only working 1/2 day.
Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm. Prayers to all for good health.
Good morning R/Donna and Sue. The temp is currently 23 F here in upper East Tennessee and we currently have a scant dusting of snow (which of course meant they closed both city and county schools.
Not much on tap again today except for my Humane Society meeting at Noon.
Hope everyone with seasonal ailments feels better today and of course prayers and Blessings continue.
here in Michigan woke up to about 8-10 inch's of snow and a crazy mess on the road's. I seen about 12 or so cars in the ditch and had one accident happen right in front of me that lucky enough to be able to stop in time and avoid it. Why is it people drive so fast when it's crappy out. The one accident that happened right in front of me the grand prix went to far off the side and hit the snow pilled on the side still and over corrected and then went side way's and it the another car.... So people in car's and truck just have no clue i swear... I know that it was crazy last night snow blowing my driveway with the wind and snow going all over.. We are suppost to have 15-25 mph wind's today and gust to 30mph+ so my driveway should be interesting when i get home..... But this is the price for winter i guess i will be listening to my on line radio station's for that "island" music to remind me of summer, warm weather and cruises!!!

Good Morning CruiseMates!
Well the sun is at least shining today and the temps have risen above the single digits of last night and are now closer to 23. Sue I think you have our weather from last night...and feel free to keep it . We don't want it back. I guess our county road are code red...I am not exactly sure what that means but I am guessing I don't have to be in a big hurry to don my snowsuit and booties to run outside and put the trash out. The snow is very drifty and blowing oh and kind of deep. Not RD's snowshoe deep, but deep by Indiana standards.
It would appear the New Madrid fault is once more active and over the past few years has given folks a noticeable shake more frequently I think than in years past. I went ahead and added earthquake insurance to my homeowners insurance last year after the last noticeable rumble in these parts and it makes me feel a little better should the big one people have predicted strikes here. This fault runs up by Chicago all the way down by where Todd lives in Tennessee. So as it becomes more active, I am sure glad to have that extra protection.
Well d/h's Mom is going to be transported by ambulance to London, Ontario today for an angiogram today. D/H, FIL and SIL are going to be close behind following. At this point d/h has tentative plans to head home tomorrow I think. However, those plans are subject to change should the need arise. I am so happy he got to go up and spend this time with his family. I think he needed to be there, and his family needed him there.
D/S is doing great. I need to call and have the medical equipment company to come and pick up the icing system boot. if any of you ever have surgery or a major injury that needs constant icing to an extremity or shoulder, I highly recommend this thing. It is a machine and it is filled with distilled water and it chills the water as low as 43 degrees and circulates it through a boot he wears and it also has compression to prevent blood clots. It does a much better job than ice packs or cryo cuffs. I am so thankful d/s cast is well padded and protected. This morning when I walked into his room he was sleeping on his stomach with his leg bent and his cast sticking up in the air. I try and surround him with pillows and bolster the leg with pillows but it doesn't make a bit of difference. Every morning I walk in to see his interesting contortions.
Well my dive skin should be here today and my wetsuit should be here tomorrow, so I should be good to go for my class on Sunday. So long as they fit properly. I am quite certain I will look foolish but I don't care. I just want to stay warm.
D/D just got out of bed and came out. She and Sami, our furry child are battling over the step ladder. A little sibling rivalry. The step ladder is the self proclaimed property of Sami the cat and d/d had the audacity to sit down on Sami's step ladder. So Sami retaliated by sitting under it and clawing d/d in the butt until she vacated said real estate.
So that is our exciting life here. I think I may go out in the lovely snow and do a little shoveling and make a path. I think the kids are tired of being in the house and would love to go do something for a change, but I don't think I will venture out too far. I may let d/d go to the sitter for a couple hours today so she can see some of her buddies and I may run down to pick up some milk aside from that. I don't feel the need to venture much further.
Good Morning from cold ,windy and snowy NY .Revised forecast now has it at 18" rather than 28 . However ,at the rate its been snowing the past hour it may exceed both numbers . We are hibernating today ,I am posting here and Mrs.Henry43 is in the kitchen cooking and baking .
Hi Kids,
It's spitting out now,and the sky does not read snow, and they revised our snow amounts lower, so who knows..what comes, comes

Good morning from snowy, Virginia Beach. As bad as the weather is here, it is much worse in other parts of the country. Our granddaughter, Rebecca, has not been to daycare all week! It seems like "ol man winter" has come out with a vengeance for 2010. Maybe, he will redeem himself with a nice warm spring! Hope all my fellow cruisemates have a wonderful day!
Good Morning cruisemates! The first group of golfers just played "my hole". Some rain is forecast for Scottsdale today, which means 1. I'm not golfing and 2. you may need an umbrella for 12 minutes.
Mrs. Kuki has been invited to play Mahjong with some "other seniors", so the car is hers for the day. I'll be hanging out at "home" and doing some work catching up on bookwork, to get ready to file our taxes.
Might get energetic and walk over to the barber to get my hair cut.
I get the shivers reading some of your posts. Not that it's so warm here in SoCal, but a LOT warmer than back East! We've come out of another big rain. I hope Ma Nature will give us a chance to dry out now.
Not a big day here so far as exciting events. I finished the vacation laundry last night. That means there's a whole bunch of ironing awaiting me. Didn't sleep well because of this darned cough. I tried an OTC cough syrup which was unsuccessful.
Looks like Keith will go to the gym today since there's no downpour.
Not too bad weather wise out here in my part of CA-----
No earthquakes here yet either---but then again you cant really predict them---and I do live close to several fault lines------
Take care everyone
Darlene I hope you and Don feel better real soon-------
We offically put my father in laws house on the market yesterday---so that ends my husband's work projects there---now on to our house--- or should I say the backyard--my husband wants a custom shed built--- comb workshop and storage--------that can be his new project first and then onto the bathroom------I want that done----and he gets to do that---no hurries or worries-------
I get to leave work soon and go snow blow my driveway with I would assume 12" drifts or more!!!!! SOUNDS LIKE FUN.. NOT...I would prefer to be drinking my umbrella drink laying in a hot tub or a pool cruising the open ocean!!! Dont we all wish that huh
