Default Tuesday is Monday

Morning Mates,
It's Tuesday, although it feels like a Monday! What a wonderful long weekend we had here in Pictou County, the weather was beautiful, and I spent a lot of time outdoors, which was a nice change.
Did some gardening, cleaning, weeding, puttering, and even some painting.
I found an ancient, and I mean ancient, wheelbarrow in back of our shed, and decided to clean it up, paint it and use it for a flowerbed. Will post pics when I'm done...
Today, it's back to reality, working a full day, lots of paperwork to do over the lunch break, and then....it's LOST time tonight!
Love that bagpipe/Amazing Grace commercial they've been playing all week!

Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning CruiseMates!
I have made the startling discovery that in just about 2 months I will be lounging around on the Triumph. I am really looking forward to this trip. There's so much to do between now and then. I am extremely overwhelmed. But I figure there's only one of me, so I will do what I can do and the rest will have to wait until I can get to it. I am working on spring cleaning here. I figure I can handle doing one room everyday until it is done, by then I will have to start all over .

Yesterday I got the mulch put down and it looks much better, got the yard mowed again and it's still soggy in spots but at least I didn't get the mower stuck this time. Got the kitchen partially cleaned out and the dining room about done. So today I think I'll focus on finishing the dining room and starting the living room. I'll keep the laundry going in the meanwhile then tonight I'll put it away. My seeds are sprouting like crazy in the sunroom. I took everything outside to give it a good dose of sunshine yesterday and they visibly grew. I would like to take them out again today but it is supposed to be quite windy, so that probably isn't a good idea. They are so fragile right now.

Tonight we were going to take the kids to Karate and Gymnastics but I don't know how that is going to work out for d/d since they called last night and said that girl's softball will practice on Tuesday and Thursday night. So now I have to rearrange piano lessons too. I thought we had something going on Wednesday, but now I can't recall what it was. Oh well.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday. Take care!

Good morning RollerDonna, Beenie Weenie and all who follow.

I have to admit R/D, I do so enjoy retirement in the Spring when the weather is beautiful and like in Pictou, the weather today is glorious. If anything, it's going to be a bit too warm with a high of almost 90!

Gosh B/W, it seems as only yesterday when the kids started their softball careers last year! My, how time flies when you're getting old. While rummaging through a box of my late mom's things a couple of years ago, I ran across a team picture from 55 years ago when my twin and I were in Little League. In my case, my childhood memories are often quite dimmed until I happen across something such as that at which point they come rushing back as would a Tsunami.

Not much on today's agenda except for a Volunteer Recognition Dinner for all of the dozens of Volunteers we have for our Humane Society. A local BBQ restaurant really stepped up to the plate and gave us one of those "What a deal" prices. We certainly enjoy wonderful support throughout the county including from our business community. I would be prevaricating were I to refute to admitting as a result of my newspaper column, to feeling at least a small measure of accomplishment.

Hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful day and as always, nightly prayers for our fellow CruiseMates undergoing travail of any sort as well as a request for God's multitudinous Blessings upon all, continues.

Todd

Good morning RD, Beenie, Todd, and the others to follow!

Just think, 3 more sleeps and we fly out! 4 more sleeps and I'll be on the oasis of the Seas! Not packed, yet, but have lots of clothes separated. I'll put a few things back, once I really start thinking about what I need and don't need. Yesterday I had to go to the mall to return DH's shorts (you remember the ongoing saga of the shorts). Well guess what! I found me a new dress for those elegant nights!

Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, so I'll finish all my running today.

RD, I'm so glad that spring finally found you! I think you have to wait the longest!

Beenie, I don't know how you keep all those schedules straight. All it takes is one little hiccup and there is so much to change! You're good!

Todd, you do so much, I hope that you are one of the ones recognized today. Enjoy your dinner.

Everyone have beautiful day!

Good Morning cruisemates! A sunny day in the 50s in store for us in Calgary. Yup, I do miss the Arizona weather.

Another day of gathering and going through paperwork to get ready for a trip to the accountant to get the taxes done. Certainly not my favorite activity, but pretty much all I have on tap.

Sort through this crap, then it's time to spring clean my office. Can't believe how much junk piles up for someone who doesn't work.

Darlene,

Gosh, it seems as only yesterday you announced your cruise! How I envy your boarding the Oasis and please please, write a review and post plenty of pictures! I'm afraid that probably the only way I'll ever cruise the Oasis is vicariously.

Thank you for your kind words as well. Actually, this evening's fete` is an informal one whereat the Board of Directors honors our volunteers. We like to joke that when one of us goes above and beyond, we should get a humongous raise in our salary and bring it up to "zero." I admit that I was honored with a lovely plaque last year when I stepped down following five years as President during which we just happened to be enjoy a level of success that was made larger than what it actually was by the subsequent collapse of the economy. I tell people I planned it that way! At any rate were able to immensely expand our efforts and help still more animals. I was and the Society continues to be, so Blessed to have such a caring and hard working Board of Directors. I have been on more than several Boards of Directors and President of some and we have for those who've done likewise, a truly "Dream Board."

During the meeting whereat I stepped down, I was honored with an unusually lovely plaque. Fran that evening turned to me with a smile and said, "You mean we're actually going to get our life back?"

Good morning everyone!

It is a rainy Spring day here in the "Land of 10,000 Chirping Birds" and all of them were outside my window this morning. It sounded like a convention of whistle blowers.

Today will be similar to Kuki's. I have to write the checks for the Federal and State taxes and mail them off. I was going to hold off until 11:59 p.m. on April 14th but I figure I'll just get it over with. I just think of the nice cruise I could have with that money. Oh well, I guess I have to do my duty.

I'm glad to hear about all the wonderful Spring weather around the country.

Kuki: I'm glad you are back in your native element. Between you and my brother I was getting tired of being told how beautiful it was in Phoenix when it was cold here. At least your weather reports gave me a jump on my brother when he called me. I could tell him. "Yeah, I know. It's going to be sunny and 74 degrees.

Darlene: I want to hear all about Oasis when you get back. I need all the opinions I can get to help me change my prejudice. My wife saw a show on her the other day and she said that she might want to try it.

Take care,
Mike

Hi Kids,
Well, it started out warm and sunny, and, now it's just warm..tomorrow will be mid 80's now that I like...I do have to change over the closets, and pull some clothes for England.. I hope I have a big pile to take to St Vincents at the end of my clean up.

Today is Lucy day, so, that means SpongeBob all day..I have to tell you though,...I do enjoy the little yellow man

Make it a good one

Good morning, everybody! Bright and sunny but still cool. Apparently, tomorrow that all changes with temps in the 80's for the remainder of the week.

No gym today, so maybe lunch in Pasadena.

Enjoy your day!
