Default Surgery tomorrow

Hi all,
I'm going in for surgery tomorrow. It should go well as it's a scheduled surgery. But it's my first surgery ever so I'm a little nervous (freaked out). People tell me you sleep just like that you wake up and it's over. I hope that is true. I can't eat after midnight so I guess I will go have a snack.;-)

Didn't see this until this morning but I'll say a prayer for you. Hope all goes well. My d/d had surgery Tues at 8 am and was home by noon. She is not moving too well yet but everyday is a little better. Keep us updated on your progress.

Kat, you will be on our thoughts and prayers.

Since this is your first surgery, I know that you are nervous. But remember that you are young and strong, so that will help.

Kat, having "been there, done that" a few times, I know it is nerve wracking, but really, once they give you that stuff to calm you down then put you out, it's a piece of cake!
Wishing you the greatest success in your surgery and a speedy recovery!

Hey Kat, best of luck to you! Hope your recovery goes smoothly and most of all, QUICKLY!

I'm with you, I'd be nervous as heck. It's just a scary thing to think about. But by the time you read this, it will all be behind you.

Kat,

Get better soon. Don't sweat it too much. I don't know what type of surgery you'll be having but, for the most part, the doctor's do the hard part. You just take a nap. When you wake up you may feel like you have one heck of a hangover but you'll soon feel better.

Take care,
Mike (Who's taken the anesthesia nap about twelve times)

Hope it's minor surgery Kat, and your recovery is quick!! No doubt you'll be OK since I'm not the surgeon.

Just use the whole thing as an excuse to rest and relax.

Kat, I'm sure that by now (probably Friday morning for you ) you're feeling okay. Surgery is always scary, but most of it is SO much easier than it used to be! Bless your heart, honey!

Hi all;
I got out of the hospital yesterday. The surgery went really well it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I was joking around with the staff in the recover room. The one staff member told me I should get surgery more often. My surgery was a hysterectomy. They couldn't do my laparoscopic, it is why I thought it would hurt more. It is hard to sit up at the computer right now. So I might not have my usual posts for a while. I'm digging the pain pills.
