thought I would share...
these addictive goodies...my girlfirnd just sent me this recipe, which we devoured on our lasst vist...easy for the holidays, and in a nice jar, with a bow, a personal gift.....
bake 4 cups of pecan halves (24 oz.) in a 13x9" pan @ 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a lge bowl, beat 2 egg whites until stiff.
Gradually add 1 cup sugar @ 1 tsp salt
Remove pecans from pan to another bowl to cool
Take the 13x9" pan and melt 1 stick of butter in pan
While butter is melting fold pecans into egg whites mixture, make sure all are coated
Spread pecan/eggwhite mixture into melted butter.
Bake 300 degrees for 15 minutes, turn @ repeat twice, total time 45 minutes.
