As you all know I am very involved with persons with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. My brother Thomas was born with Down Synrome, he is my inspiration. Recently I got an email from a man that was my sisters friend when we were growing up. Upon finding that she had passed away he contacted me. He is planning to start a scholarship fund for our high school, Melrose High School in Melrose Massachusetts. He is going to name the Scholarship the Thomas and Mary DiNardi Scholarship Fund for Students with Disabilities. The scholarship will be designated for a student with diabilities to help fund their further education. Needless to say I was touched by this very generous gesture. My family would be so proud. I have been weeping happy tears for the last 2 days. Some deserving young peson will be able to further his or her education because of this gentlemans generosity. There are such good people in this world. Thank You and God Bless You.

That is absolutely wonderful . I have a 65 year old cousin who is mentally challenged and 2 friends who have children with Downs syndrome .Unfortunately too many people in this world do not understand that we are all people regardless of dissability .
