Default Windy Monday

Morning Mates, from a very windy Pictou County. It's a wonder we didn't blow away in the night! Our lovely gazebo/trellis has been blown to smithereens.
It fell over during the hurricane, this time it is over and smashed.

Last night the Weather Eye said "Weather Bomb hits the Maritimes", I guess it wasn't kidding. New Brunswick is getting snow, we are getting rain and wind.
However, no school cancellations, except where the power is out, so I guess I'm going to work this afternoon....

Yesterday evening we had a nice time down at the quay in Pictou.
There was an Open House celebration for the Ship Hector and the Quay, which had been closed all summer by the city, then bought out by private citizens to get it up and running again. The Ship Hector is Pictou's biggest tourist attraction. It is a replica of the ship that brought the first Scottish settlers over in 1773, and it is quite a sight. Here are a few pics.

Three of our most loved local entertainers were on hand , as well as a pipe band. It was a real down-home celebration. We love living here!

Mike, wishing you all the best with your procedures today, and to the gang who's meeting for dinner tonight in Central Florida, say hi from me to my buddy Cruwysie and her hubby Wayne. I wish you all a good time!

Cold here this morning and thankfully it is not snowing now. Most of what we got has either blown away or melted with just a few patches here and there. Today is my play day with my 2 yr old grandaughter. She is taking her morning nap right now and should be up in about an hour, then the fun begins. She is my little domestic, loves to cook and clean. We will be making brownies for papaw later today so I'm sure she will have chocolate all over her before it is done. That's the fun part of being a Mamaw!
Mike hope all goes well for you today. Relax and enjoy that great hospital food.
Saw where the temps were a little on the cool side in Fl. Just wish I could be there tonight for the CM dinner. Everyone have a great time there.
Prayers for all our mates in need. Todd hope all is going ok with you.
Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning cruisemates, from one of the few cruisemates who won't be cold today

It's going to be a beautiful day, reaching 78 later in Scottsdale, but already nice enough that I'm on my perch enjoying the view from the patio. Already have some golfers going by; it's only 9 AM here, and we're on the 15th hole, so they must have started around 7 or before, at least.

Another day with no plans. Maybe I'll take Mrs. Kuki out for lunch later.

Good morning from Orlando Florida, where it is a bit chilly.

We arrived here last night around 11 pm after a very exciting ball game. Not impressed with some of those around us, who were drunk, and hopefully not a good example of real Tampa Bay folks.

This morning we are resting and then are going skydiving. Okay, I will watch and Jim will do the skydiving.

Spoke with Todd this morning, and he sounds really good, if not a bit tired. He is so strong, and so put together. Fran would be very proud of him, as I am. He will learn how to draw from deep within, in order to make it each day.

Mike, I hope by now you are sleeping. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Come back to us soon. We need you.

Kuki, I love hearing about your day to day activities. I love it when a man works hard, and is able to enjoy his hard work. Enjoy the sun, and golf.

Will see lots of Cruisemates tonight. So looking forward to finally meeting all of you.

Luanne

Default Windy Monday

Good morning from soggy SoCal. We had plenty of rain last night complete with thunder and lightning. I loved it!

Today is gym day with maybe a little Christmas shopping thrown in later on.

Both Keith and I will be thinking of Mike today and wishing him well.

Have a good day, all.

Judy

Good afternoon from a chilly, thirty-eight degrees in Virginia Beach. 'Ol man winter has made his name known in many parts of the country. Rob and I are leaving on our cruise on Saturday and I will be packing clothing for cold and warm weather. Rollerdonna, I just loved seeing your pictures of Nova Scotia; it brings back fond memories of our trips to Halifax and Peggy's Cove. Glad to hear that Todd is doing okay. Make it a great day, fellow cruisemates!
