Since Kuki started a thread about ranch steak on the RCL board. I thought this would be an interesting topic to talk about. So what is the worst food item you ever had on a cruise.
For me Carnival and Celebrity are neck and neck on this one.
Celebrity brought me out the worst piece of Prime Rib I ever had on a cruise. It's is a shame an animal had to die for this thing. I mean really how do you mess up Prime Rib it's one of the fattest and most tender cuts of beef.
When Carnival invented Diet Pumpkin pie they must have been drunk. Because even with 3 cocktails in you; this thing was horrible. I love Pumpkin Pie, but this was not pumpkin based. It's tasted like someone took unfavored knox gelatin, mixed it with sweet n low added orange food coloring and called it dessert. The Diet Pumpkin pie is the only food on a cruise ship that I have returned to the dining room and asked for something else. That will teach me for getting a diet dessert.

Last year when we took Infinity Westbound through the Panama Canal, I opted for curried lamb stew in the (then) alternative dining area. As those of you who remember this wonderful alternative, the menu was fixed, but they used to have specials ever night.
Not on that cruise. As well, what they chose to serve as the choices were not particularly appetizing to us.
That having been said, while the lamb was edible (and we were hungry, which helped), it was my least favorite meal thus far on all our cruises.
Other than that, I cannot recall anything memorably bad.....
My worst meal was prime rib on the Carnival Liberty.
But, I don't worry about food in any cruise ship. You can allways ask for something else or eat again in another hour or so.

The worst meal we (almost) had was on NCL. The menu said "steak" and when it came it was more like stew meat (and undercooked!). When I questioned the waiter he handed off, very quickly, to his "boss". Apparently, we weren't the first to question this "steak"!
We reordered and didn't go hungry ,
