Cinco de Mayo, or Thursday....
Morning Mates, Happy Cinco de Mayo, or just plain Thursday, we're one day closer to the weekend!
It's another dull day here, but warmed up to 13C or 55F, with again, showers forecast...
Off to aquafitness this morning as I missed Tues. due to schedule conflicts.
I can really feel it when I miss, I find it really helps the stiffness in my bones.
Better get some breakfast and get outta here, have a good one!

Well, I am back! I had surgery on 4-20. All went well and I am bored out of my gourd!!! Had to stay at hospital two nights and then home, where everything has been moving smoothly. I had PT daughter home when I came home and doctor daughter with me during the following week. Now, I am taking out the dogs and doing dishes and laundry. I go back to the doctor next week to hopefully lose the neck collar. Glad I did this now and not in the middle of summer. Neck collar is like wearing 30 turtlenecks all at once.

Shortly after surgery, the pain in my neck, shoulders, biceps and numbness in my hands pretty much all disappeared. There is some pain, but it is a different type of pain.

It is a sunny day here, first in forever. The farmers are getting very, very antsy; as they have yet to get into the fields and plant anything! Hopefully it will dry up soon and they can plant and everything in the brown fields will turn green!

Holly is now almost five months old. She is about 17.5 pounds and a little terror. Mia, the older dog, loves to romp and play fight with her.

Have a good day all!

Good morning
Haimia… I'm happy to hear thing went well and your now home, best of luck for a speedy recovery!
A sunny but cool here today. I dropped my car off at the shop to see if it's the compressor or just needs to be recharged. I now also have something broken underneath I'm thinking a rocker arm but time will soon tell. It’s a good day to get my housework done and have dinner fixed early.
Have a great day!

Ah, one of my favourite days! We love Cinco de Mayo, not because we are Hispanic, or because we celebrate the day, ..... but just because we (even the kids) love to say "Cinco de Mayo, bye-bye-o". [seinfeld episode!].

Yes, TV rules my life.

Looks like yet another nice day. Kind of getting a late start today. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon but that's about all that's on my plate other than the never ending housework.

Haimia, glad the surgery went well and you are recovering.

Have a good day all.

Good late morning to all.

Haimia, welcome back and glad to hear everthing went well and you're recovering quickly!

Aero girl, it's also cool here today and we're fourteen hours South of you! Yet it is gloriously sunny.

R/D, hate to tell you gal, but it only gets worse as the years pass!

Queen of Oakville, I must have missed that episode as I didn't watch religiously. My favorite character was The Soup Nazi. Thankful for reruns.

Am meeting our "adopted daughter" who takes care of the cats, for lunch

Well, gotta' go. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Of course prayers for all those on my extensive list and a prayer for Blessings on all continue unabated.

"Cinco de Mayo" was the episode where Elaine is patronizing a latin goods shop, but doesn't like the rude sales person and has a number of run-ins with her. She finds a new shop and makes a big deal of going back to Cinco de Mayo, her last line to them is "Cinco de Mayo - bye bye-o" .....

Seinfeld might be one of my favourite shows of all time. I loved the Soup Nazi episode!

Cinco de Mayo, or Thursday
Good morning. Sunny and not so hot.

Donna, I'm afraid Todd is right: it only gets worse as you age. Aging isn't for sissies, you know!;)

Hamia, nice to see you posting again. I wish you a fast recovery.

Our September Minnesota trip is coming together. The Southwest Air fare was reasonable, and not only do they not charge for luggage, but you can change you flight info without charge. We found hotel rates below nose bleed level, as well. A car will be paid for with points.

Now for a nice place for lunch . . .

Good morning everyone:

Haimia: Glad to know the surgery went well. I know that post surgery can be boring but don't too much too soon.

I'm late today because the Dish tech just left. I "tried" to swap out the DVR yesterday. Everything went well until the "guide" was downloaded. From there on it was nothing but flaky problems and four calls to Dish. The problem was that the replacement unit had a bad hard drive or was possessed by Trip's electronics demon. :D Net, Net they dispatched a tech, with a new unit, for this morning. He showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. with the new unit. Guess what??? It didn't work!!!

He had a "better" unit on the truck so I got that one. Now I have a brand new unit with 80 hours of HD recording time and more features. I just finished programming it so all is ready.

We are now getting ready to head to my granddaughter's school for their Spring pageant. Then tomorrow is "Grandparents Day" at her school so we'll be going to school two days in a row.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday. Go out and make the most of it.

Take care,

Good evening from chilly but very sunny NY

Hi Mike,

Does your receiver have a USB port in the back?

By plugging in a 500mb portable hard drive into the back, it expands to give me 700 hours of recording time. Bell Satellite (my provider), doesn't publicize this, but we learned this trick from the tech who installed it. He told us to return the $600 dvr receiver for the $200 HD recive and we were able to instantly expand the dvr capabilities.

Yeah, I know, who really needs 700 hours of time? You'd be surprised how quickly we burn through that!
