Morning Mates, it's a fine weather Friday with a gorgeous weekend in store and I am so happy about that!
This weekend is the annual Hector Festival, celebrating the Ship Hector and all it entails.
There will be all kinds of special activites and demonstrations at the Quay (lessons in piping, bodhran, wood carving and blacksmithing), as well as live music from pipers, fiddlers, guitarists, and a Highland Dancing competition. I am going today to take pictures, and I am volunteering all weekend too, so it will be busy, busy, busy.
We are also expecting a visit today from Pictou's very first cruise ship - an exploratory trip from Pearl Sea Cruises to see "what's to do" in town, as they plan to make Pictou a regular stop in 2012! I will be sure to get pictures for you!
Morning Donna. Sounds like fun. Will be looking forward to the pics.
I'm up and going this morning trying to get as much done as possible before the house wakes. It's going to be a long afternoon, but I hope it will then be a nice slow weekend. The teen starts her senior year on Monday. They grow up so fast!
Good afternoon from a thankfully cool day in Virginia Beach. I did my usual, "clean the house" this morning. Rollerdonna, the Hector festival sounds like a lot of fun! My husband, Rob, would enjoy seeing the ships and I would love to browse "the vendors" to see what nautical pictures and nick-nacks they are selling. Not much news for now. Hope all my fellow cruisemates have a wonderfull weekend.
