Default Frosty Wednesday

Morning Mates, from a very frosty Pictou County! There is a layer of frost over everything this morning, and the temp stands at 2C "feels like" -1, or 30F. Supposed to go up to 11C but I'll believe that when I see it....

Surprisingly, the kids at work were a lot calmer yesterday, despite all the Halloween candy.
Several were sick too, so I guess that makes sense too...

I am off to the vet this morning with on-going doggy troubles, then taking myself to the hospital for x-rays to see why my back is in constant pain. Never ends, does it?

Meanwhile, I am anxious to hear some news about Todd - anybody hear anything?
Please be OK Todd, and come back to us soon!

donna

Good morning from sunny Daytona.

Today was our first wake-up as Florida residents. We are staying on a condo on Daytona Beach, FL. while we get furniture for our house in Palm Coast.

Today we saw a beautiful sunrise. Since we are on the 18th. floor our balcony feels like it's on a cruiseship.

Donna, good luck with your health issues and I hope the dog is OK.

Prayers continue for Todd, and I wish him a very speedy recovery.

Good morning all. No down time for me today. It's going to be a long day. It's a chilly but sunny morning. My daughter was accepted into the school of her choice for next year. Now to get the scholarship money lined up and the dorm deposit set up.

Donna, I hope you and the dog both feel better. I think Todd is doing better.

TM, enjoy the condo.

Have a great day all.

ooh! ooh! ooh! Can I come stay at your place in February and we go see the Daytona 500?!

Oh, and Donna? -6 here right now this morning. In a couple months I'll be able to report the -40 temps. And FTR? -40C = -40F!

My flight leaves tomorrow for Cali! Can't wait!

Good morning everyone:

I've been in "sleep mode" for the last two days. I don't know why but I've slept over twelve hours the last two days. Not sure why other than just getting tired.

Today is a busy day so I better have more energy. I will be preparing for the annual deer hunting trip. My nephew will be here tomorrow to take me up north. It's going to be a rough year because the land we hunt has been burnt out because of a wildfire and is not "huntable" because the peat bogs are still burning and the DNR has closed it for safety reasons. So, we'll have to find some nearby public land to hunt. We only found this out a few days ago so we are in reactive mode.

So, I better get my rear in gear and start putting things together.

Donna: I hope both you and Emma get help from the doctors.

All my best to Todd and my hope for an early discharge.

Take care,
Mike

good morning mates, chilly start to the morning, but with the bright sunshine we could reach 60 degrees, what a blessing for the folks still without power and for the clean-up crews!. Unfortunatley people are literally dieing to stay warm, 2 deaths in our town last night from carbon monoxide poisioning, people using one of those heaters that screw onto a propane cylinder and of course not opening a window to vent the carbon monoxide, and there has been i think 6 deaths in the city of springfield alone from people using charcoal grills in their houses to keep warm. So unfortunate and a shame when the shelters are open and available

Mike, you slept 12 hours for EACH of the last two days or 12 hours total sleep for 2 days?

If you're feeling tired all the time, or this keeps up, it might warrant a trip to the doctor. This sounds familiar, and FTR I am a diabetic.

I could be a million things, or nothing at all. Keep an eye on it.

Good Morning cruisemates.... from my warm patio perch in Scottsdale, Az.

We hadn't made the final decision to continue to come down here as planned, until Mon. night.

It was a tough call. My mother is physically stable at the moment, and her cognitive abilitiies have shows some improvements at times. She has outstanding live-in care, but of course, we still feel some guilt leaving the city. And both my sons are in the city.

We're a direct non stop 3 hrs. away. And that's as far as we'll be wandering for the next while.

Meanwhile it's a gorgeous morning here, temps heading to 80. Will spend today doing normal "get the condo open" activities.

Default Frosty Wednesday

Good morning! It's dry and very windy here in SoCal. The fire warnings are out once again.

The tree guy will be here this afternoon, finally. The day will be filled with packing for our trip to Phoenix tomorrow and other pre-trip errands.

Donna, I hope you and Emma feel better soon.

Wasn't it good to see that Todd is feeling better, too!

Have a good day, people.

Judy

Welcome back to the Valley Kuki! I thought I had read you live here at times, but I wasn't sure.

Can you believe how warm it has been? It has been a record breaking year and I am hoping it gets colder soon!

I am always wishing for cold weather and snow, but I am sure greatful for our weather when I read about these storms!!
