I would say that when it comes to those ships, size does matter.
I have cruised on both the Oasis and the Allure and I loved them both.

Now, there is someone kind of missing the point of taking a cruise. I did a fair amount of reporting to show you actually can see the ocean very easily on Allure of the Seas if you want to, including an open Promenade deck right off of the interior Promenade.
Plus there is the whole AquaTheater area and all the views from the top decks, including the Lido deck.
