And believe it or not...many people still fall for this age old scam...or some variation of it.

It is sad that so many do fall prey too these scams. I have a friend that bit onto the "free cruise" scam. She and hubby spent $600 in fees before he got sick and they never got to go. That much for a 2 night cruise that was supposed to be free. So sad.

I get so angry when I hear about this activity and yet it goes on and on. Cops- International, National, State and Local - don't care or they would come down on these animals. I blame also the political officials who don't want to enact and enforce laws against these people.

I am personally angered because in the past my cruisemate's names were used in the email that was used in attempt to steal money from me. This was another trick that they have developed and use. So cruisemates be careful. In my case, the thieves were from Scotland. It seemed to me that the local police could easily go to the local postal shop and wait for the thieves as they attempt to pick up the money. Cops don't seem to care. Too small a matter to take care of the ripoff experts, better to write parking violations higher payoff for the municipality and it insures their retirement benefits.
