Maybe Cyber Monday if it's not raining I hate it when I computer gets wet.
Yup it's a Black Friday poll. Will you shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I like the less crowded store. Joann's Fabric has some great deals on fabric etc. Also I'm heading to Big Five sporting goods for new sneakers. I might do Kohls also. I will have to stare at the ads.

As much as I would like to, I'll hold off a bit....I have the day off, and I would usually run errands, but it can wait, not worth the traffic, crowds, etc.
I have no desire to fight the Black Friday crowds but I can't say the same for D/H & D/D, they are both planning on going. D/H has been looking to get us a new TV, with a bigger screen so we can see it in our old age! He says he is going to attempt the early morning rush and bag a deal. I myself think it is useless as the store will probably only have one in stock and he will end coming home empty handed. Now that he is retired if he wants to go fine just don't wake me up when you leave, I like my bed to well.
I’m having a major problem with these stores opening up at 8:00 pm on Thanksgiving. Let people spend time with their family for goodness sakes!
I totally agree with you. Last year my favorite stores all opened on Thanksgiving expect Joann's Fabric so I only hit one store last year. I won't shop on Thanksgiving. Kohls opens at Midnight I'm not sure if I will get there I hate it that they are open at Midnight. I liked it when they opened at 3AM I would get there at 2AM and be near the front of the line. Wal-Mart, Toy R Us, and Sears Open at 8PM.

When is enough ever enough? Most people don't stop to think about the poor store employees who have to be there on Holidays, long hours etc. They too have families and would like to have a little time off. Some of the stores here in my neck of the woods will be open at 8 p.m Thanksgiving Day, which means the employees will have to be there an hour or more earlier than that to get everything ready for the rush. Some eager beavers have been camping in a tent at a store since Tuesday morning to assure themselves they are in the store first when it opens at 8 p.m Thursday although the store is operating on normal hours as they sit outside in a tent. Showed some who even had a small baby with them. Consider the cost of the small tents, space heaters, fuel, sending out for Pizza, etc., what are they really saving?
I wouldn't go close to a store or mall this Thanksgiving or week-end if someone had a gun on me. It won't be long, ( maybe next year ) that they will also be open Christmas day too.
And 24 / 7 hours , regardless of the Holidays , is coming withing the next couple or 3 years.
In the meantime, to all who venture out tomorrow, I hope you find a parking place without a fight , hope you get bargains galore and have a safe return home.
To all, Happy Thanksgiving !
Today, I spoke to my niece, who is a Target employee, and she told me her store did a "lottery" to see who would work. More people wanted the shifts than they had positions for.
I don't like the idea of the stores opening on Thanksgiving. It completely changes a traditional family holiday into a "shopping day". However, if anyone wants to go shopping or work that's their right and I'm not going to do anything to stop it.
Take care,
Mike

I'm sure some of the employees want the holiday that come with working on Thanksgiving. But I still can't do it. If I go at Midnight I'm really shopping on Friday not Thursday but it still bugs me. I might Cyber shop Kolhs and go to Big Five sporting goods opens at 5AM and Joann's Fabrics opens at 6AM on Friday morning.
