Just worked all day, now off to Outback for an early dinner....Hope to catch some of the game, but I really want to see the commercials and the half time show.
The telly remained off. We spent most of Sunday waiting and waiting for Keith to be released from the hospital. When we got home, We both a bite to eat and slept.
Well crap!! Sorry my hubby is a 49er fan so I was rooting for his team, since my Raiders are continuing their sad streak of not even making it to the playoffs. I did attend a superbowl party the ribs were wonderful. I'm still proud of the job that Kaepernick did, think how amazing he will get with more experience. He is a very talented player I hope he transfers to the Raiders don't tell my hubby I said that.

What a waste of the half time show! The worst ever!!!!
I didn't much care for the National Anthem either, too slow. Remember when performers just came out and sang and it was really good. Like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Absolutely the WORST half time show I've even been unfortunate enough to witness. Singing of our National Anthem wasn't horrible, but I'd sure enjoy it more if sung "straight". I sing the Anthem prior to our Community Band Concerts, and I can't tell you how many paople tell me how "refreshing" it is to hear it sung the way it was written, and without all the "flourishes", and extra crap!
My take on the game is that while Ray Lewis may be on the juice, the stadium isn't.
Actually, a decent game as Super Bowls go, but the commercials were mediocre to awful. Not a very good crop at all. At $8 million a minute for commercial time, I don't think very many advertisers got their money's worth. If I were writing one of these commercials these days I think I'd do something counter to the too-cute-by-half stuff and say. . .
"Hello, this is my product or service. It is a very good product or service and here are its important features. I'm proud of it and I hope you'll give it a try. Thank you very much."
Ironically, I think that's the ad that might have "cut-through" these days.
Anyway, I had the game on in the theater and checked it out from time to time while continuing with our winter housecleaning (I don't mean vacuuming, I mean cleaning out 40 years of accumulated clutter). Mostly I was waiting for it to be over so I could watch Elementary.
