Morning Mates, it's another beautiful weather day out there and I plan to enjoy it...looks like a beach day to me!
Yesterday I volunteered 10 hours at the ship, meeting lots of tourists including a busload from Lexington Kentucky! Busy day.
Looks like we will have a nice day here also. Softball tournament continues today at 2 pm for D/H and his team of 9 & 10 yr. old girls. I'll be there cheering them on and hoping the girls can win but they are playing the #1 team in the area so it might be a rough one. My granddaughter is just so proud to be on the team and the girls are having so much fun. We have a great group of girls and wonderful, supportive parents which makes it all worth it.
Everyone have a great day and do a little cheer around 2 for our girls!
The day has started out cloudy here in the land of 100,000,000,000 mosquitoes per square mile.
Yesterday we had over 2" of rain and more in other areas. There was flash flooding and a lot of flooded basements. Luckily we only received much needed rain. If it dries out today I'll have my lawn girl, Betty, hop on the tractor and mow. But this time she'll also need to trim so I'll have to give her extra. When I say extra I mean two gin and tonics instead of one.
Today will also be a house cleaning day. Yesterday, I was going to hobble around the house and do some dusting but I was feeling quite punk and had a bit of a fever so the dusting didn't get done. Today I'm feeling better and have already done the first two levels of the house so, once the lawn girl has awakened I'll do the upstairs.
I hope all have a great Sunday and great upcoming week.
Sue: I'll be cheering for your husband's girls to pull out the win.

So yesterday at the block party I was talking with a young man for quite awhile when his girlfriend came looking for him. The young man interduced us and in conversation she mentioned she's a cruise ship singer . The young lady Meghan just got of RC Enchantment of the Sea , we didn't get to chat much longer as they needed to get back to their friends but she did say it was a blast and was going back on a ship once they can work a shorter contract out.
I did get a chance to ask what her favorite RC ship was and she said Explorer.

Good morning mates. Not much going on yet. I've got sleepy heads I'm waiting on before I get started. I worked outside yesterday evening. The patio area looks much better. My flowers are beautiful this year.
Good afternoon from sunny, Virginia Beach. Rob and I took advantage of this beautiful day to take the "Tide" down to Norfolk to go to Freemason Abbey, one of the restaurants that was participating in "restaurant week". If your area has a "restaurant week", I suggest that you go. Not only are the prices great but it is a good way to try restaurants that you have never been to before. When I was was working, I didn't have much time to really enjoy a lot of things going on in the Tidewater area. May all my fellow cruisemates enjoy what is left of this weekend.
We had a busy Sunday. I had to assemble some chairs and a table for our Lanai. We had some beneficial rain last night and a couple of showers today.
