Morning Mates, Monday is wonderful because a) I don't have to go to work and b) the sun is shining at it's 10C or 50F!! Absolutely gorgeous day out there, will enjoy it before the next storm moves in....
How was everyone's weekend? I didn't do much except clean, cook and read, but had a lot of fun Saturday night at the pub where they played Music Trivia Bingo, what a great game!
It was a fairly uneventful weekend. We had our grandson over while his parents and sister were at his sister's gymnastics meet. She did pretty good for her first meet. There were about 25 kids in her category and she was in the middle of the pack. Not bad for a first meet and just starting structured gymnastics classes three months ago. I was amazed at how well she did on the balance beam. She definitely does not take after her grandfather.
In a few minutes we'll be taking the cars down to the mechanic for oil changes and a check up. He has a small shop but does great work, at an honest price.
Tomorrow I go for another cortisone shot. I had one on Thursday and my back does feel better but they wanted to do two and it's probably a good thing. The back is still far from perfect. Last night was not a "good" nights sleep and Betty said I was making noise when I turned over.
I hope everyone has a darn good Monday and a great rest of the week.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning Donna, Mike and all that follow. It's a bright sunny day here in Ottawa and we will get above freezing very soon. Nothing much planned for today. We are 39 days and counting down to our cruise out of Manhattan and we are trying to get tickets to see The View and Jimmy Fallon while we are in NYC.

We hit our high for today at midnight with temps slowly going down .
I spent my weekend putting up some Valentine decor in the house and helping D/S fill out hs FAFSA application, although he won't get any free money the universirty want kids to fill it out. He was lucky and his top choice gave him a $53,000 academic scholarship over four years if he attends and luckily he could commute to and from since its only about a 1/2 our away. I'm thinking he may want to live on campus but that adds another $10.000 ....not to sure about this.
Grocery shopping for me today and maybe a little laundry ,that's about it.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Another week, but not as weather-nasty as last week! We are mid 40's with rain due later.
RD, enjoy your 50's and sun!
Mike M, take care of your back. I am in PT at present and to see doctor for my back follow up soon. Trying for an MRI so they can confirm a herniated disc in my lumbar region. Yeah :>0
Canuckity, bet you are looking forward to that cruise and NYC, enjoy!
Luanne, good morning to you, too!
Aerogirl, have fun with the FAFSA, so glad we are past all that paperwork. And, it will be good if son can commute. Our girls went to dorms/apartments and the "stuff" they take to school grows!! by leaps and bounds!!!
