Default Saturday I'm OK!

Morning Mates I survived the storm, miraculously did not lose power, but I was keeping the computer off and unplugged just in case. I had a power surge destroy my tv cable receiver just before Christmas, so anything electronic gets unplugged before the storm now!

I have been housebound for 2 days, it was impossible to get out with the snow, freezing rain, and hurricane force winds. Other than a few trees down in the woods, I had no property damage either so I am thankful.

The sun is shining bright today, but it is deep freeze time again. I am going out though, need groceries and a few things, plus I now have cabin fever. Tonight there is Music Bingo at the pub so I will go have fun and see my friends.
Hope everyone else survived the storm ok?

donna

We had 12" of snow plus 6" more from snow drifts .We have not been outside yet.Yesterday it was 4 degrees here .This morning it is 3 with heavy winds.
We did not lose power .More snow is expected on Monday ,Friday and Saturday.
One of my daughters will be here later to bring in our mail if any .
Tomorrow morning there is a Health Fair in our town. I hope to be able to get out to go there.

Good morning Mates

I'm happy to see that Donna and LF are doing OK.

The weather here is improving and getting back to normal. Today I'm staying home because Mrs. TM is not feeling well. It seems like a cold with a cough and the sniffles. I will take good care of her.

Have a nice day Mates and stay warm.

TM

Yahooo......this is the last day of our deep freeze. Tomorrow temperatures begin to moderate and Monday we may even get to 32F. I am just back from going to get a few things and I needed gas and I must say I have never been so cold as I was while filling the car. Our countdown continues and by this time next week we should be on the ground in Santiago, Chile.

This week Princess cruises offered us a 'free cruise.' All we had to do was forfeit our cabin on the Emerald January 17th cruise, book another cruise with them and they would give us a 'refundable cabin credit' on our next booking plus $500 each towards airfare and credit for hotels. Seems like the Emerald is perhaps overbooked for January 17th. Our mini-suite is still listed as a guarantee with no assignment yet. It would be very tempting if we did not have other travel/accommodations booked for before and after this cruise.

This happened to us in 2013 with Princess. They must ALWAYS overbook the South American cruises! Our offer was very similar, except it was for 2 cruises instead of one and we got all of our money for the original cruise back as cabin credit (which was refunded to cash as we do not spent that much onboard!!). We took the option and rebooked SA and also did Baltic for our two cruises. We had no other plans except the cruise as DH was still working and could only take so much time off at once. Too bad you have other travel plans with the cruise.
