Am trying to find out Pro's and Cons' to booking on Costa?

I am tentatively booked for an 8 night on Carnival Feb 2008 but am thinking about switching to Costa as the ports are more favourable. Any thing I should be worried about?

If you book with Costa, i cant think of one thing you would have to worry about that would be different than booking with any other cruise line.

We are actually looking to book a Costa Caribbean cruise for either February or March, so let me know what you do.

I just booked it! There are 7 or 8 of us going, we booked 2 cat 8 balcony cabins. Can't wait.....it looks great!

Costa Mediterranea ship bypassing Caribbean next season

Costa Cruises' Costa Mediterranea, which for years has sailed the Caribbean during high seasons, will be sent elsewhere during the 2008-2009 season, the cruise line announced this week.
The 2,114-passenger ship had called on St. Thomas regularly since 2003. It is scheduled to stop in the Virgin Islands on its routes from Fort Lauderdale this winter, but Costa has not revealed where it will be deployed the following year.
The line said only that the Mediterranea will be placed in "a different key core market, allowing Costa to reinforce its strategic global positions."

I was in the same situation as you trying to decide between Carnival or Costa. We have done 12 Carnival and decided it was time for a change and are doing the Fortuna Feb. 10th along with 56 of our friends. I have been very happy with the service Costa has given me with this group. They have been easier to work with than Carnival was on a past group cruise. I will be in Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 17 doing a ship inspection on the Fortuna it will give me a better feel for how my group will like the ship.
