An assistant waiter will make less than a waiter, both in wages and in tips.

I believe generally its the crewmembers responsibility for their own transportation to and from their assignments. NCLA I know however does provide transportation to and from Hawaii. Maybe thats just because its Hawaii though, and not a port in the lower 48 states.

For RCCL you have to get yourself to your first ship, and then they will take care of getting you back home and will pay for all your transportation for any other contract you do. They probably arranged for a hotel in Barcelona for you? Make sure to ask if they will provide the transporation from the airport to the hotel, and the from the hotel to the ship. For a ship as big as Navigator, there will be many crewmembers joining every cruise, so there should be free crew transportation.

the Voyager class ships, which your ship is one, has some of the best crew ares to hang out in on the high seas! Enjoy your contract!!!!

ps - i've been seeing the asst waiters making between $1000 - $1500 per month US - work hard and become a head waiter!!!!!
