Default Corporate Offices

I am really interested in working in the cruise industry. I have been addicted to cruising ever since I was 10. I would like to work somewhere in the corporate office. That being said, I really don't know where to start getting prepared to work in the cruise industry.

I plan to go to college after I finish High School, but I don't know what to major in that will be best for working in a cruise line corporate office. I know there are hotel/hospitality buisness majors, but is that the right major for me?

Any help would be appreciated.

Past Cruises

Disney Magic- August 02
Carnival Pride- July 05
Monarch of the Seas- April 06

A good percentage of people that work shoreside actually come from shipboard jobs. Many different nationalities and job education/experiences, but they all worked on a ship and know what 'the deal' is, were successful in their shipboard job and were able to translate it to whatever their shoreside position was.

check out http://www.hcareers.com/

and also look deep into the cruise line websites to see if you can find the career sections - you'll can research what they're looking for as far as requirements.
