a question re: corkage fees

We carried our wine from our cabin to the dining room. So far I have not been charged corkage fee *knocks on wood* and yes we also brought the bigger bottles. They opened it at the table..

Simple answer, because you are making up the profit they are losing by you drinking your own.

So if you are taking wine on board, make it $100 dollars a bottle, you win compared to their prices, but not something you bought at $5 -10-20 cost.
