I know I read somewhere on one of the zillion boards I've visited, a post about water shoes. We call them water socks??? anyway I've waited too long to buy them and can't find any in our sizes locally. Does anyone know where I might find some? even a good online store will do. Thanks
Just in case you can't find them before your cruise, I just wear an old pair of tennis shoes, they work fine depending on what you will be doing. When we went to Dunns River Falls, I used them. You can also find them onboard the ship, they all sell them too, have fun.
I got some at the Speedo store. Mine looked like tennis shoes, they rubbed blisters on my feet. If you get some from speedo, I would recommend wearing socks! We had about a 45 min walk to get to our start of the excursion. So that may have been some of the problem. Good luck.
I often see Summer type articles where you least expect to find them this month. Have you tried a store like Walgreens, Eckards, CVS, etc. Usually even Walmart, KMart and like stores will still have a few left. Ask around. Like someone else mentione, a really cheap pair of canvas sneakers or teva style sandal $5 are also very good with support if you have to hike to a water site.
I know we had the same dilemma last year. Went in a Rack Room Shoes and asked. They did not have any but had some shipped from a different store for me and they only cost $7 because they were on clearance.
If you can't find the close-out sales, you might have to bite the bullet and buy them online at either REI, Galyan's or some other outdoor sports store. They'll be more, but if you are looking for the good ones (Tevas) you'll pay more anyway.
