Default water shoes

I know I read somewhere on one of the zillion boards I've visited, a post about water shoes. We call them water socks??? anyway I've waited too long to buy them and can't find any in our sizes locally. Does anyone know where I might find some? even a good online store will do. Thanks

Hi Splink....
Just in case you can't find them before your cruise, I just wear an old pair of tennis shoes, they work fine depending on what you will be doing. When we went to Dunns River Falls, I used them. You can also find them onboard the ship, they all sell them too, have fun.

have had better luck with water sandals over water shoes, they have more support and are better for walking, imho - i am talking about the Tevia type sandals

I got some at the Speedo store. Mine looked like tennis shoes, they rubbed blisters on my feet. If you get some from speedo, I would recommend wearing socks! We had about a 45 min walk to get to our start of the excursion. So that may have been some of the problem. Good luck.

The ship will be glad to sell you water shoes, of course, they will charge you extra for the privilege.

I got mine at Raget for $1.24!!! CLEARANCED! Perhaps local drug store - everyone is clearancing them. It took me 2 stores to find them - try K-Mart, Meijer's, Wal-Mart etc...

I often see Summer type articles where you least expect to find them this month. Have you tried a store like Walgreens, Eckards, CVS, etc. Usually even Walmart, KMart and like stores will still have a few left. Ask around. Like someone else mentione, a really cheap pair of canvas sneakers or teva style sandal $5 are also very good with support if you have to hike to a water site.
Bon Voyage.

Try Walmart - I got some for dh and myself for $1 a pair on clearance. I got boys - the womens were really yucky pink and purple.

I know we had the same dilemma last year. Went in a Rack Room Shoes and asked. They did not have any but had some shipped from a different store for me and they only cost $7 because they were on clearance.

If you can't find the close-out sales, you might have to bite the bullet and buy them online at either REI, Galyan's or some other outdoor sports store. They'll be more, but if you are looking for the good ones (Tevas) you'll pay more anyway.
