TSA will confiscate a laptop computer at the airport if you do not follow the rules.
>> 1. The laptop MUST be in your CARRY-ON luggage. Laptops are forbidden in checked luggage, and will be confiscated.
>> 2. At the checkpoint, you must remove the laptop from its case and put it through the scanner by itself (in a plastic bin, of course).
If you follow the rules, there's no problem at all.
Or are you trying to get it confiscated so you can justify the expenditure to replace it with a better model??? ;-)
