Not today we were not here at sunset. Maybe we will catch it tomorrow. But since this condo is right on the beach the sunrise is really the best.

Good Thursday morning all. Glad you got to see the sunrise TM. It's chilly this morning after rain last night. Having a quiet morning but it's going to be a busy afternoon. Have a good one guys.

I owe Moiraine a brief description of the food we ate while we were away. I don't remember bite for bite but here is what I remember.

While in Brooklyn we had a nacho pizza, ate at a couple of diners and then had very excellent steak at a place called Destephano's. We have eaten at Peter Lugar's which has been rated as one of the top ten steak places in the country. I thought this was better.

At sea I know I had a lamb shank, and bountiful turkey dinner and lots of sea food. We only got ice cream a couple of times, the pizza on board was so-so but the burgers were really good. We had breakfast on our balcony on both port days. A very nice way to start the day. We had a "concierge" cabin that had an expanded room service menu for breakfast.

More sea food in Vieques, including a bar that used mahi mahi for their fish and chips. The restaurant at our hotel did this french toast to die for. They made it using a local bread and topped it with a guava paste. The DW had that the first morning while I had pancakes with fresh blueberries. The second day we both ordered the french toast.

Yummy! Thanks Bob. I thought I was nuts thinks that crusie burgers were good. Well, some of them are. Some of them are not. The ones on the Conquest were great. Carnival has terrible fries though. I love room service. I know you enjoy the expanded menu.

Well, I went grocery shopping this morning. It's kind of pitiful that with all of this food I have no idea of what to fix for supper.

Yes, the last of the ships for the Alaska run who stopped in Victoria ended about tail end of September while we were in Australia.
Expect to see more Disney ships in 2012 (22 of them) as they have moved from Vancouver to Seattle.

I've never been to Peter Lugar's .

Just a quick pop in while I am working on my review.

Kat our favorite times were pre (with our kiddies) and post in Vieques. Not that we didn't enjoy the cruise. Check out the kayaking we did in Vieques

The water literally glows around you as you paddle. Unfortunately you can't swim there anymore. They had a shark attack a few months ago. Nobody wants to try to watch for sharks in the dark.
