Cruise/kids/Boston/August

Looking for some help and advice
- Never have taken a cruise.
- Would like to go out of Boston, in August 2002
- 2 kids , 6 yr old, and 2 year old (younger one with Development delays similar to Downs..can walk, healthy, no big medical issues)
- Don't really care where we cruise to, just want a quality time, with quality kid programs

How can I get clued into what is the best fit for us??

You've done the most important thing....you asked the questions. My advise would be to find a great Travel Agent. Ask around.....I'm sure you have friends who know of a good one. A good TA will match you with the cruise that works best for you. Another thing you can do is explore this site. There is so much information here at CruiseMates that could be beneficial to you. Research is half the fun of going on a cruise. Please keep us posted as to what you decide. But it is important that you know one thing.....after this cruise you will be as addicted as the rest of us.

If your two year old is not potty trained, Carnival is the only taker to my knowledge. We have been cruising with them for the past two years. We leave next week for another western caribbean route. Our kids love the camp. If is a wonderful place. The staff is terrific. Plus you get to be an adult for a while when your kids are living the high life too. It's a win/ win family trip and less expensive that other cruise lines. Good luck!

Hi Mike,

Carnival & Norwegian are two cruiselines which serve Boston, with cruises to the New Enlgand area, Canada, and Bermuda.

We sailed with Carnival in 2002, and loved it. Although we had no children with us, we noticed that kids were well cared for by "Camp Carnival."

As a previous poster suggested, confer with a travel agent.

Once you try cruising, you'll be hooked forever.
