Default We've added another to our Group Cruise Choices

Full details will be up on the site soon... but just wanted to let everyone know about our first venture to a luxury brand ship for a CruiseMates Group Cruise.

We're going to be sailing on Radisson Seven Seas new all suites Voyager, Aug 19/03 to the Baltic!
3 days in St. Petersburg during the city's 300th anniversary year!
It's an incredible package that has been put together for us, including insurance, 2 pre days in Stockholm, tours in many of the ports of call!

Radisson has extended the group special pricing for anyone booking prior to Dec.31/02.

If you just can't wait for the info, here's the contact information for the TA handling the group.

Bill.. ya, this cruise isn't for the faint of heart (or wallet),..... but it is a fabulous deal for a Radisson cruise, and with all the pre cruise hotels, insurance, tours etc which are included is actually excellent value! I know, I shopped it!

Just think of all the complimentary wine you and Mrs. Bill could drink while thinking of how much you spent for it.

No arguement from me, the value is fabulous. Your just doing it 2 months after I'm paying to marry off daugther # 3 (last one) . Otherwise this is exactly the kind of trip
that Gram (formerly known as Mrs. Bill ) would love.
By the way, I can handle a bottle of wine a night , not much more. If I put on antlers , does that increase my tolerance?

I'm going to sell some stocks, or take out a loan or something. Definitely going to take this one, plus the Paris extension. Hey it's labor day. Why not use that as an excuse to party in gay Paree. Nina's boss gives her enough mileage to purchase 2 rt, first class tickets anywhere in the world we want to go. This year it was Brazil. Next year it will be Stockholm/Paris, whopee!

Hey Carole,

Will look forward to cruising with you two again! It'll certainly be doing it in style on Radisson.

Sticker shock isn't the word! Sorry but unless we were to win the lottery, no way. Heck, I would rather sail 7 times for the same price on a 'mainstream' ship than once on one with this pampering.

Yup.. I guess that's why there are Chrysler Neons and Mercedes Benz. To borrow a line from Ernie (who happens to be the TA on this one<G>), both will get you from point A to point B, but in different style (and at different costs).

That's why there are those who will cruise in nothing but inside cabins, and those who'll only go in balcony cabins.

That's also why there are budget cruise lines, premium cruise lines, and luxury cruise lines. Hopefully something for every budget!

In relation to this particular sailing, if you presumed you were doing this itinerary on a mass market cruise line, deduct the cost of the insurance, and the cost of the hotel, and the cost of the tours, and the cost of the gratuities, and the cost of drinks, wine, sodas, water, etc.... and though expensive, it's not all that much you're paying for the luxury of Radisson.

Well said, Kuki. And there are other aspects that add value to this level of cruise... such as the 3 full days stay in St. Petersburg, compared to the too short usual 2 day stop. And then there is the oft repeated fact that most ships tend to sell from the top down, then from the bottom up... the first to go being the suites and high end balcony cabins. While not for everyone, the market for a luxury cruise product is very much there.

Hey Kuki, This is Brian.

Do you know how many others are sighned up for this cruise?

Can you tell others to sign up for a Royal Caribbean, Cruise Critc party too? Can cruisemates members qualify?

Just an idea, the more free get togethers the better don't you think?

Is $60 savings total enough to ask for the lower price? Will someone here call and request that we get that lower price?

I have done the Balic 3 times . This one sounds good enough to do it again. This sounds like a winner!

Too expensive for my blood, sorry to say. Heck, Mrs. Thomas would have to give up the diamond tennis bracelet I have picked out for her birthday.

Thomas

Heck Thomas.. if you can afford the diamond tennis bracelet you can afford both <G>

Actually check out the cost of baltic cruises on the mass market lines like Celebrity or Princess, add in the cost of the hotel package, travel insurance, tours, wine and other booze, onboard gratuities and everything else that this package includes and you'll see just how good a deal this is!

The initial sticker shock is understandable, but once you do the calculations you see how little extra you're paying for the Radisson experience.
Of course you have to want to go to the Baltic on a great ship, or it's no deal at all <G>

Regards,
Kuki
