Default walkers and diabetics

My husband is diabetic with neuropathy in his feet. He uses a walker when walking long distances and/or when his pain is bad. Is it possible to take foldable walkers on tenders? Also, I was told by my TA that cruise lines no longer honor requests for early dining based on medical reasons. We have a letter from his doctor stating that he needs to eat early in order to maintain his regular insulin regimen. We are sailing on HAL. Should I mail the letter or talk to the maitre D after we get onboard or ??? Does anyone have any experience with these situations?

I don't see anything wrong with bringing his walker on with you. I've seen them put wheelchair passengers on them. I was waitlisted for early seating, got a letter from my Dr. and had my TA fax it to the cruiseline and when we boarded I had early seating. I'm sure they try very hard to accommodate everyone and every need. I have never been denied my dining request.
