Hello, I responded to you on the other thread too. But it is good to see a familiar name again.
It is just me and hubby this time. But there are usually a few single parents to meet on the first day on board. They always have a meet for the singles within the first 24 hours on board. With the ages of your kids I'm sure they will be hanging out with friends their age and you will be free to do your own thing, as they say.
I have a thread started for this cruise on the Dis board. It is an all disney site and usually by the time we cruise we have 25 to 40 different families writing on it. So far there are only 3 of us, but please join us there and I'm sure it will be your best chance to maybe find another single person going with us, since so many read and write on that board. A lot of times when people post the ages of their kids, they connect up their kids on the private messaging feature they offer so they can get aquainted before the cruise. The teens really like this feature so they have a friend before they cruise and make a place and time to meet on board. Our teenage grandaughter loved doing this. She had 3 kids to meet the first day and by day 2 she had 15 new friends to hang with in the stack.
www.dcltribute.com is the site, just go to cruise forums and click on cruise meets and scroll down til you see our date and click on and post. It's that easy to do.
If you dont want to come over to DCL that's ok, I want to keep getting people to post here to and hopefully we will get a big thread going here too.
Meeting people on these cruise boards is always a highlight of our trips. People are so friendly. We always meet ont he first day around 3 p.m. in the Promenade lounge. That way we have 45 minutes before we have to be in our rooms for the safety drill at 4, and most people are on the ship by then.
