I'm not sure of the taxi price, but it's not that far, it would have to be under $25. I think that may be high. I know theres a strip mall and a publix near the terminal, you pass it on the way. Can't you get water at the airport?
We always bring a 12 pack in our carry on. If that is inconvenient for you, I would get it at the airport. By the time you add a stop to your trip to the port it could be just as expensive...IMO. You could always just buy the 1 or 2 bottles on the ship then just refill the bottle with the ships water. Many posters here swear by it and say it is just as good if not better then bottled water. Have a great cruise.

There's a huge new Publix , supermarket, just off of 17 St, behind the Embassy Suites Hotel, not far from the port. If you're only grabbing some water it probably wouldnt take more than a 2 or 3 minute stop.
I have now figured out a way we can fly and save $$ over driving! We have a Southwest Green Pass good for one R/T or two one-ways. We'll purchase our tickets for the flight down on 3/22 - $206 total and use the free tickets to fly home! We would have spent $200 on gas alone to drive!
i have always found the water on the ship to be just as good as the bottled water you buy. it saves on the cost and hauling it around to use it. the cabin steward will keep you stocked with ice cubes too keep it cold in your container you want to drink out of. have a great time.
