Taxi's to Port of Miami?

We are set to sail on the Navigator OTS in September. The ship leaves from Miami and we're just wondering about the taxi ride to the port. Has anyone done this or is it better to purchas the transfers from the CL?

When we were in FLL, it was about $10 for the trip to the port, and took about 5-10 min. How long is the ride in Miami?

Please advise.

Are you talking about transportation from the airport to the cruise terminal? When my husband and me went last year, the taxi fare was $20.00 plus toll (I can't remember how much that was). The drive was about 10 minutes from the airport to the cruise terminal. It's a very short drive.

I don't know about taxi fare but Celebrity's voucher from Port of Miami to Miami Airport is $14.00 or $25.00 from Port of Miami to Ft. Lauderdale Airport (FLL)

A taxi would be the way to go, there are plenty and for around $20 you can get to the pier, total with tip added, much cheaper than the CL transfers.

Just make sure you get the price straight, before you leave the airport. My cab driver made alittle extra off of me !
